Days Inn by Wyndham Great Bend

This hotel should not be in business. Extremely outdated and filthy. It was not at all what we thought Wyndham would be associated with. If the Wyndham company is aware of the conditions of this hotel, I would question their integrity. If extended family weren’t there we wouldn’t have stayed. They were apologetic for the choice in hotel.

This is an older hotel but it was very clean. The staff was very friendly at check-in. We definitely could smell stale smoke in the room so we opened the window and aired it out and it helped some. The bathroom has been remodeled and was very clean. The bed was comfortable enough but they have the silly tiny pillows so bring your own. There's a small fridge and a microwave in our king bed room. The price was reasonable and we booked online due to it being pet friendly. However a big negative is they charged us an extra $25 for our small 9 pound dog which was NOT stated online so it was an unpleasant surprise. Based on that we would have stayed at a little pricier hotel for the same cost we ended up paying. The other complaint is the only plug ins by the bed did not work. My husband has a C-Pap so we had to go purchase an extension chord to run across the room. We were only here for 1 night so we made it work. If it was a longer stay we would have looked elsewhere.

We stopped in without a reservation, the staff was very accommodating. We found the rate to be very reasonable, our room was clean and the bed was comfy. The coffee offered in the continental breakfast was good as well. We will plan to stay here next time we come this direction! Dan & Mary McCarthy

This hotel is very old and tired. Breakfast consisted of cold cereal and tiny frozen breakfast sandwiches. The rooms were dirty and gosh the mattress was one thousand years old!!!!!! The bathtub cracked horribly when taking a shower. I do not recommend this hotel.

I slept well. The front desk clerk was pleasant. She is quite upset over the state of the motel. I was in room 103. It is on the bottom floor. Sadly, this past summer in July, Great Bend was hit with a horrible hail storm and much of the town is still in disrepair. The windows on this building are still boarded up. I hope Wyndham does something soon. There are no sound buildings left to stay in. It is an older place, the furniture is old, the paint is old, but as with most places in Kansas, Franchisees are stuck for the cost.
