Quality Inn Waverly

Run don't walk away from this place! Upon check in, our AC in our room was off. Inquired and was told the management does not allow AC to be on in unoccupied rooms. Even in common areas the temperature was quite warm. Was not offered another room only a box fan. It wasn't a matter of it not working it is that they are too cheap to turn it on and down. Husband said the pool was ok . I chose not to go in as it didn't appear that clean to me. Everything else was mediocre. I emailed the general manager and never received any response. Which I expected as he knows his practices are wrong. "Quality" doesn't mean what it used to.

This has been our go-to hotel for every visit to Waverly. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. It is a slightly older hotel but is always clean and well-maintained and works well for our family. We enjoy using the pool and hot tub. I have noticed recent cosmetic updates to the lobby area so it's nice to see that they are continuing to improve the property. I believe there is only one set of connecting rooms so be sure to request that set of rooms promptly if needed. It is right next to WalMart, convenience stores and a couple of restaurants so it is very convenient for quick runs to any of those areas.

Basic room, but very clean. I base this on the fact I never found hair belonging to a prior guest and the sheets looked clean. I have no complaints about my stay and I would stay here again. Can't beat the location and price if you need to stay in Waverly.

The place was clean, bed was comfy, no strange scents. The night clerk was a sweetie. Friendly helpful and knowledgeable. The morning ladies …. No acknowledgement of my presence as I passed by and NO hello as I walked to the breakfast area. The lady who appeared to be the boss at the moment was chatting with an employee. They stopped chatting as I neared them…..No communication though from either of them. I did come back after breakfast for A key…. I got my key and that was that. Nothing else. No sorry you waited for 5 minutes for someone at the desk no thank you for choosing our hotel…. Nothing. Weird….not even have a nice day sorry we shut off you card… weird It’s clean though…

This stop was part of a road trip so we were looking for convenience to our trip route. We stopped there in July on our way to Minnesota. We loved the pool and hot tub area which was well cleaned so this was a relief during times of Covid. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was a Walmart right next door so it was easy to pick up some sandwiches and snacks. It is family owned and run which explains why this hotel really shows the pride these folks take in maintaining it. We enjoyed our experience there so much that we decided to plan another night there in August during our return trip.
