Work/pleasure stinky room,no pool, smoke detector had a baggie on ot and was hanging off wall , no tv guide info

Never seen a place so filthy. Urine soaked room, second room had urine soaked towels. TV, fridge didn't work. Ice machine broken. Terrible coffee, stake cereal and frozen muffins for breakfast. Motel side door didn't lock.

Breakfast was not much food to choose from. Carpet need to be clean.good thing was near by Iowa 80 truckstop and some restaurants

We were a bit iffy about staying here when we saw previous reviews but thought we would give it a try. Check in process was quick and friendly. The lobby area interior, carpet especially, is dated looking but it was clean. The same with the room - dated carpet style and desks but clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, linens and towels clean and white. We pretty much thoroughly inspect rooms when we get in them and we found this entire room very clean. The heat/air unit kept the room at a comfortable, constant temperature and was not loud at all - we could actually hear the TV. The only annoying thing about the room was finding TV channels correctly. Breakfast was a little more sparse than some other places with just typical cereal and breads but was sufficient. Overall, we went in expecting not so good but were very pleasantly surprised that this was actually the best night out of 4 different motels we stayed at on this trip. Based on this experience, we would give them another try and stay there again.

Unmaintained hotel. Carpet and couch are stained and filthy. Looks like an abandoned property that should be condemned. Vending machines are empty, side doors are unlocked and the electronic locks don’t work, anyone can come in. Safety hazard as smoke detector is missing in the room and the electrical wires are exposed. Even if the price is somewhat lower priced than surrounding properties you should definitely look elsewhere.
