Flamingo Motel

Went down there for three days and two nights for a two day tournament. The folks in the front office were super nice and very helpful. The accommodations were clean, and well, not necessarily the fanciest, they met my needs very well. Parking situation was great as there was, ample room for my boat and truck as well as power for my battery charger. They have lots of cameras in the parking lot and are proactive and making sure your stuff stay safe. I had no problems whatsoever. Would not hesitate to book again when I head down for another tournament.

We reserved this hotel because my boyfriend stayed here years ago and liked the motel and pool. We got there last week - no hotel sign, no sign on the door. Inside I asked if this was the Flamingo and was told yes, the sign blew down during a hurricane. Pool permanently closed, yellow caution tape across several doors, construction crews outside. Fortunately, they refunded our reservation and we stayed at the Best Western next door. The hotel sign blew down over a year ago.

no frills as expected, room was a bit tired & dirty round the edges. Pillows were awful but ok for 1 night. Check in was fine, lots of signs informing you what you CANNOT do & what they NO LONGER offer, so not that inviting

We stayed here for 4 nights. This is an older 2 story hotel. The room furnishings could use an update. Here's our pros and cons list: PROS: our room was clean; the beds were comfortable; there was a microwave and mini-fridge in the room; good shower head water pressure; charging outlets in the parking lot for Lake Okeechobee boaters needing to recharge their boat trolling motor batteries. CONS: no coffee maker in the room! No breakfast (there is a McDonalds right next door you can walk to); the room lighting was dim, especially in the bathroom; there are several printed out sheets of 'policies' taped to the lobby greeting desk that was a bit off-putting. Overall, an okay place to stay for a few nights, but not for an extended period.

good location. close to everything you would need. no breakfast due to covid. the beds are a little hard. it was an ok place to stay for a fishing trip. i would probably stay someplace else next time. was kinda loud outside at night.
