Holiday Inn Des Moines Airport Conf Center an IHG Hotel

Wonderful hotel near the airport. Called to let them know we would arrive after midnight from a late flight. Very nice when answering the phone. 24 hour free airport shuttle. Welcoming desk attendant. She recognized our IHG member and offered us bottled water in exchange for the free wine or beer offered, due to it being after midnight upon check in. Although rooms are outdated, as it an older hotel, they are meticulously clean! A/C cooled the room off quickly! Bed is comfy! Pillows are fluffy! We were on the 2nd floor facing the atrium, we heard no noise, even with people out late at the atrium due to a convention. Great hotel!

We stayed here the night before we flew out of DSM. The room was very nice, every employee we encountered was very friendly. We like the fact that the transportation is on an "as needed" basis. Some motels run at certain times, like on the hour or half-hour, but not here. Our pick up was very quick when we returned home. We would definitely use them again.

I can't even with this place. I can hear the neighbors TV like it's in my own room. The front desk said they would call them but I can hear everything even if they caught because the walls are so thin so I know they did not call them. It's 4:00 a.m. and they're back to watching sports...

The room was cool and the water pressure was good and hot in the shower. The hallways smell weird and their bar and all was closed the one night we were there. The front desk staff was very nice though and helpful. The shuttle was very quick to pick us up from the airport and she was very friendly. However, this morning we had breakfast on site and they only knew how to make eggs 1 or 2 ways. She was mostly pleasant. I would have given 2 stars but the staff was worth a star too.

Our kids love this hotel! We try to stay ground level near the pool area but if you would like more quiet I suggest staying furter away in another hallway. They are very accomodating. The front desk staff how been there awhile and it feels more like a family owned hotel when you come back and see friendly faces. Rooms are claen and comfortable. Perfect access to the airport with plently of parking.
