I read a number of reviews where people were charged a higher rate than when reserving. I booked anyway and got a certain rate. I confirmed at check in and again the next morning. At checkout, the price was significantly higher. Of course the person at checkout was different than check in. I was told the person was wrong and there was no such rate. They gave me $20 a night off, which still didn’t come close to original rate. Very shady tactics here. Beware.

We had a really nice stay for 2 nights while visiting Augustana College in Rock Island. The hotel is very conveniently located to get all around the QCA, and is within walking distance of many restaurants and places in downtown Davenport itself. Great views of the river and beautiful mansions on the river bluffs. The lobby of the hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and our room was comfortable with a nice sitting area separated from the sleeping area. Beds were very comfortable. That being said, there were a collection of little things that alone wouldn't have been a big deal, but compounded together made it seem like the place is missing some focus on standards expected of a full-service hotel such as this. Pool was closed (not advertised until we arrived), one of the weight benches was out of order, ATM was out of order, no cream or sugar with the in-room coffee, and the body wash in the shower had not been refilled. There was a very large parade on Saturday morning that, had we not known from family members (and thus moved the car in the early morning), would have blocked us into the parking lot for half of the day. That's something that we should have been informed of when we checked in on Friday. The Pershing St entrance on the parking lot side of the hotel is locked after 10pm, so you have to walk around to the 3rd St entrance. I understand security is important, but this makes it really inconvenient to enter the hotel after hours, especially if you have luggage (or if you have to go out to the parking lot and re-enter after hours). A key card scanner on the Pershing St side would suffice to restrict access after hours, while still allowing guests to enter more conveniently.

Marriott Titanium. In Davenport for a quick stay with the family. The staff really make the hotel. Pros: - Location: in a good area with lots of things to do around. - Staff: recognizes loyalty and made sure our stay went well. Cons: - Understaffed: while the staff are great, the hotel is understaffed and takes a while to get to every customer. At breakfast at the hotel restaurant there was only one person working, who was very nice, but took a while to get seated and served. - Thin walls: you will hear your neighbors and everything going on outside of the room. - Lots of things are closed like the pool and bowling. Would not avoid, but would pack earplugs.

We were staying in Davenport & wanted to check this historic hotel out for a future stay. We sat at the bar in the lobby and part of the restaurant Bix(great menu). Colleen, our barkeep made perfect cocktails & was very knowledgeable about the menu. Very relaxing spot to people watch & enjoy the architecture of a by gone era.

This hotel has the POTENTIAL to be a fabulous facility. They have drastically fallen short and my pictures will show this. The stairwells were beyond filthy, even the buffest of guys were using the elevator for this reason. After our first night I went to make the bed and noticed what looked like a poop smear on the portion of the duvet that was next to my face, it started out covered by a sheet but… When the bed was stripped the base sheet has many stains as you can see. These pictures represent the duration of the stay— glasses were not removed, table clothes remained. If this is what the hotel is allowed to look like what on earth does the kitchen look like? I did not order any food.
