There is no doubt this was easily the worst quality inn that I have ever stayed at. I will preface this by saying that I actually just had a conversation with some of my friends on Instagram telling them that I had never had a bad experience at quality Inn, and that my poor experiences typically come from places likeDays Inn. Now I have a different opinion because of this particular reservation. The entire area is clearly loaded with low income, people living on the streets, and certainly a lot of poverty. It was very obvious that that is the primary theme of the entire region. The gas station directly next-door was loaded with people that clearly appeared to be just pretty much living in there. It was disgusting And those same people were walking back-and-forth to the hotel constantly. There was a man who walked up to me in the parking lot, pretty aggressive, and I had to drive around him. I don’t know what he was trying to do, but he was trying to stop my car and it was pretty startling. Then proceeded to walk up the stairs. I’m assuming to his room and then I also saw him over in the breakfast area afterwards, and I tried to avoid him. The breakfast area I was expecting to have to use my key fob. However, the door was propped open and it was very clear that there were either homeless people or lower income of some type that were able to use the hotel and the breakfast. I don’t know if the city is paying for them to stay there or if they are just allowed to use the breakfast, but anybody could walk in and out of the breakfast room and it was disgusting. There was very limited options for breakfast. The coffee was completely cold. I actually dumped it out and ended up purchasing coffee down the road at Casey’s gas station. I do want to add this because I’m always completely honest when I leave reviews the gentleman who was working at the hotel was nice and friendly. He appeared to be Indian in descent I don’t remember or ask what his name was so I will say that he was nice, but I’ve read other reviews saying that they had different Front Desk personnel that were not nice. That was probably the only good thing from my experience. I’m still gonna give it to one star based on everything else. The entire hotel smelled like cigarettes. It was absolutely disgusting. Please never stay here. I should’ve known with $55 on a Friday night, clearly this hotel is being used to house the lower income population of Council Bluffs and Omaha.

Rooms smelled, door didn't close unless you slammed it hard, tv was falling off the wall it was kept upright with the ice bucket. About an inch of dust on top of it. Hair drier was broke. Bath room door delaminating, bath room faucet dripped. Pool door taped shut. Breakfast was a joke. Chair was broke in the room and the lamps didn't work. It was just awful but we got their late and we were really tired

A massive storm hit Omaha on July 31, knocking down trees and leaving 200,000 people without electrical power for several days during the hottest part of the summer. Hotel accommodations in Omaha were almost impossible to find, and we needed a comfortable room at a reasonable rate. Quality Inn & Suites in Council Bluffs, Iowa, turned out to be the perfect solution for my husband and me and my elderly mother. We booked the King Suite for five nights but ended up staying only two nights because our power was restored sooner than expected. The King Suite has a comfortable king-size bed in the bedroom area and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room area with a partial wall providing visual separation between the two areas. We were grateful for the refrigerator and microwave. The AC worked well, and so did the Internet connection and cable TV. I brought my PC and monitor to our room so I could do some work during our stay. The room was clean, and the shower and toilet had excellent water pressure. The hotel is not luxurious or fancy, but the rates are affordable.

I am appalled at what I found as soon as I opened the door of my room. Dark, bad smell and very loud a/c. Later we noticed the phone was disconnected, when I connected it, I found the cord was kept together with electrical tape. It kept coming off anyway. The furniture was old and not for residency at any type of hotel. The bathroom was disgusting. While I showered, I felt the tub was going to come loose. The pool was murki and looked dirty. We did not go in. Luckily, we were staying there for the night. A place like this should not be allowed to operate in the U.S. the people running the place did not look professional in any way. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I see emails from the owner apologizing but looks like nothing is done about it.

The entire hotel was disgusting - filthy on every surface and in every corner. The whole place smelled of mildew but especially the guest rooms. I say plural rooms because the first room we were in smelled moldy and there were black dots on the wall fan (which was running AC) and the air was stale and humid. We asked for a room change but the second room was even worse in terms of mildew smell and the bed looked as though the covers had just been pulled over rather than the bed made. We asked for a refund and left.
