Days Inn by Wyndham West Des Moines Clive

Dirty room, lackluster free breakfast, not much help from the office. Very disheveled room put together cheaply.

The building is literally falling apart, Sidewalks, stairs, elevated walkways are very unsound and show many areas of damage. No auxiliary lock on room door. Bathroom door had to be hammered on to open/close. Room was musty smelling and bathroom smelled like a sewer. Floors not clean. SHall I keep on going?

Terrible service, $50. Per person cash deposit required for incenditals. Asked for a coffee cup and I was told to look. Staff behaved in appropriately flirting and saying I love you to each other while I waited to get checked in.

Wyndham tells us to ask for upgrades as Diamond members in this hotel doesn't observe that at all ever. In fact when I told them I didn't need a king size bed, that a smaller double or queen would be okay, and requested a ground floor on the south side of the hotel away from the highway, they actually told me it was going to cost me more! The room I received smelled horrible of mold, and the carpets were filthy. I literally had to wash my feet a second time and put socks back on, which of course turned black. They came in to empty trash and give clean towels, but didn't bother making up the bed. Why bother at all then?

Good Hotel. We stayed here 2 times on our vacation. It was an older hotel but clean. No pool. Good breakfast area. Breakfast had waffles, cereal, toast and juice and coffee. The area was quite. Fast food restaurants were near. Hotel was easy to access off the interstate. I would stay here again.
