This is the 4th or 5th time we have stayed at this hotel traveling as snowbirds. The hotel rooms have been remodeled since last November. The owner is very kind and takes pride in his hotel. Pet friendly as well. The breakfast has what you need, cold or hot. We will be back, again in the fall.

The staff was wonderful during my stay. Originally I planned to stay two nights, but due to my son's extended hospital stay, I ended up here three extra nights. The staff was very kind and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Newly remodeled. I would definitely stay here again. Very good quality for the price. 10 minutes from Iowa State University.

Best complimentary breakfast in the Ames area, cleanest pool in town, and a hot tub too boot! A family run hotel, where the staff actually cares about the people staying there, and their comfort. I was living out of hotels in the area, while trying to sell my family home, and ran across this rare gem at a decent price. In the year and a half it took to sell my house, I ended up having stayed at 90% of the hotels /motels in town. Even with the more expensive hotels in town, I felt like I had to be worried about the cleanliness of the rooms or the cleanliness of the pool. The rooms and the public areas at the Americinn were immaculate. I ended up staying several weeks at a time on 3 separate occasions this year. What really impressed me, was the first day I stayed there I complained that the internet signal was weak and kept cutting off. Next thing I know, they gave me a closer room to the router, and the owner moved the WIFI extender so that mild inconvenience never happened to another customer. That is good customer service. Book here when you visit.

Shyam is very sincere and intelligent, he and the hotel staff truly care about guests having a wonderful experience. Management is flexible towards the goal of optimizing the guest experience. New flooring and carpeting, along with a very well maintained pool and hot tub enhanced our stay here. The hot tub must be one of the largest of any hotel this size, it fit all guests who desired to use it without feeling crowded, definitely a great feature during very cold midwestern weather. The location is great near I35/hwy 30 with easy access to anywhere in Ames

Hotel doesn’t look anything like the pictures. The breakfast was minimal, there was hardly any food out, and there weren’t many offerings. The eating area wasn’t set up, and we had to take our own chairs off of tables. Outside of our room, there was a dirty mattress leading up against the wall in the hallway. It was pretty gross. I would not stay here again and I’m not very picky when it comes to hotels. Also, there’s nothing around the hotel like restaurants, there’s just Four other hotels, which was weird.
