Burr Oak Motel

Don't expect the Hilton, because it isn't but if you need a place to sleep it is great. Quiet, large room, and clean. Outside of town a little and kind of tucked behind another building but for the money it is great.

My husband stayed here because it was the closest hotel to where he was working and he saw good reviews. However when he got to his room he found that it was completely disgusting. Furniture was broken, there was brown and black stains all over the walls and the dead bolt wasn’t even useable. This hotel has no breakfast, shampoo, etc and he was very happy he only had to stay a couple days. Will not be returning.

No heat in room when we arrived with advance reservations for 2 nights. Took10 hrs to get the room up to a reasonable temp. Left for the day and they came in and turned the heat off again! So we came back to a cold room again!

Stayed here for a wedding in a nearby town. The owners were great about letting us check in early so we could change and then go. room was pretty big, air conditioning worked well. They have a light cold breakfast, juice and coffee in the morning. Our room was clean everything worked fine. It is an older hotel but everything was clean and worked. Didn't use the internet so no report on that. It is a good value for the price. If you need something shiny and new go elsewhere. If you need clean and convenient with helpful owners and a good price stay here.

I walked in to my room and there was a leather recliner rocker comfortable enough to sleep in. The bed was firm, and everything was clean. The teevee was from 1990, but it worked. Bathroom was clean. Room was bigger than the average cheap motel. I would absolutely stay there anytime I am in the area. My guess is that in the summertime they stay pretty busy.
