Motel 6 South Bend IN Mishawaka

We were just passing trough heading home, but the bathroom had curly hair on the floor, in the ice bucket, and on the toilet seat. There was fast food trash under the bed our puppy dragged out, and stains on the sheets and the building and elevator reeked so badly of pot, you have to cover your mouth and nose to pass through.

The worst customer service experience I've had. They refused me service for no reason which they later denied. They agreed to cancel my reservation and waive the fees. They did not cancel, they did not waive the fees. I filed a complaint with Motel 6. They sent me an automated reply and never followed up. I never got my money back and waisted a lot of time. I was accused of trying to stay there for free. I was called names. And they never tried to make it right. Booking.com said they would help. They first told me to hang out in a restaurant for 4 hours. Then they asked if it was ok if I just paid for the room and didn't stay in it. Then they kept me on the phone for almost 2 hours to offer me the solution that I needed to work it out with Motel 6.

Don’t stay here ! The Management is HORRIBLE! They do nothing about loud guests, loitering people at the front of the building and loud barking dogs! We stayed 2 nights and the room is not cleaned AND if you ask for towels , you have to turn in your first set??? What??? We don’t get a clean set per day but we PAY FOR 2 DAYS!!

As soon as I pulled up to the property there was a man smoking crack outside of the office, I saw at least 3 cockroaches inside the office that smelled like a public bathroom and I had to sit there for 20 minutes with a man working the front desk who didn’t speak English, he just stood there staring at me in silence and finally decided to grab someone who could communicate with me. After speaking to someone who I presume was the manager for all of 3 seconds he took one look at my ID and told me I couldn’t check in because I was not 21, even though over the phone the person I made my reservation with confirmed with me multiple times that the check in age was 18. After asking if they will give me my money back, the man I spoke with said “They will refund you on the other end” and ran away. After hanging up on me at least 15 times when asking for my refund they finally send the form to get my money back. So glad I wasn’t able to stay in this crack den of a hotel with the cockroaches and tweakers.

I stayed here once because it was very late and I just wanted an inexpensive place to stay for the night. It seemed pretty upscale for a motel. One of the beds had a stain on the sheet but other than that it was okay. Nice bathroom and the air conditioning and TV worked well.
