Room was roomy and clean. Full refrigerator and kitchen. Lobby was large and had several areas for groups to hang out. Fireplace in lobby was a nice touch. Staff were helpful. Area is safe and lots of restaurants and stores near it. Would be happy to stay here again.

Stacy Evans wasn’t responsive or helpful with our team’s reservations. No conference room area available. 7-720am no eggs or bacon available. 3 / 13 families had roaches in their room. No ice machine available. Personally, I had stains on bedding. No sheet for couch. 2 towels for 4 people. Out of towels at the pool whether it was 3pm or 8. However, Onsite Staff was very friendly , if it weren’t for them I wouldn’t be leaving a 5.

This Residence Inn simply does not in anyway meet the minimum standards to carry a Marriott flag. I stayed in a two bedroom suite (420) and here is the summary of my findings: 1. Neither of the two showers had hot water. 2. Dirty dishes from previous guests left in dishwasher. 3. Garbage from previous guests left under beds in each of the two bedrooms. see photo) 4. Cabinet door under sink and on TV stand were off the hinges. 5. The bathtub was filthy and left uncleaned. (see photo). I wish Tripadvisor would list the name of the property owner and managers at each hotel so I could do a search and stay clear of anything owned by Apple Nine Hospitality Management or operated by White Lodging Services. I also wish Marriott would conduct a quality check on these two outfits which could not be bothered to clean the room or provide hot water for at least one shower.

We ended up staying here on a sort of unplanned basis. We were booked at another hotel but it was so filthy that we simply could not stay there. We ended up calling here at about 8pm and they had a room for us at a decent rate so we left the other hotel and headed here. It was SOOOO worth it. We had a great stay here. Our room was one with a kitchenette and a fridge which was really nice. It was clean, well appointed, well maintained and quiet. We truly had a nice comfortable stay here and would gladly stay here again.

I stay primarily at Marriott for business because I can depend on the cleanliness standards, professionalism, and policies always falling with in a range of acceptability. Not always great, but sometimes, and never terrible to the point of unacceptable. During my recent stay I had to travel to the South Bend area for a week and then to the Indianapolis area for a week. Residence Inn was changing over to a new billing system during my stay and advised there would be additional minor funds held against my credit card during the change over, even though I paid ahead of time. Not a problem, have a decent limit and it would be refunded. Then my credit card started getting declined. Well apparently the new system had glitch and my credit card had 12 or more charge holds amounting to $12000. I talked to the clerk that evening and the he said the manager would call me back. I never received a call. Upon check out the Operations Manager was there and promised an executive level call back in response to this. It may happen, we’ll see. Luckily I have other credit cards to rely on during my travel, but what if I didn’t! Next issue is I checked out on Saturday at 9:00AM after checking in electronically to Townplace Suites in Indianapolis. I used a 12:30PM check in time and the system accepted it. My assumption is I’m good to leave get into my room in Indy. So, I leave South Bend headed to Indy to get my room and key, set up and get some work done. I get there and am advised by the clerk, who was very nice and polite, that she is sorry the app does that but no rooms are available until after 3:00PM. I would have stayed in South Bend and worked if the app had advised me that I could not check in at 12:30PM, but it accepted that input. Now I’m stuck driving around Indy with $12G racked up on my credit card until 2:00PM. 2:00PM by the way only because the clerk convinced the cleaning crew to have something ready earlier than 3. If she hadn’t at least tried I would have given 1 star. Oh and the washer dryer at the hotel is broken so I guess I’ll spend my time at a local laundry mat. I hate doing this and writing a bad review because I feel like all folks do today is complain, but I’m frustrated with the Marriott experience this time and have to vent.
