Friendly staff. Safe area. Walk to the pedestrian bridge and nearby restaurants. Decent breakfast with all day coffee. On site laundry. Clean rooms. Kitchen facilities in the room were really good and had everything we needed to cook a meal. Short drive over the bridge to Louisville downtown, but nice and quiet with free parking. Really enjoyed our stay.

Convenient location across the river from Louisville. Everything was great during our stay, no issues. Had breakfast one morning, there were plenty of items on the buffet. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We stayed for an urgent needed stay related to a funeral. Difficulties checking in and out. No phone, sparsely supplied kitchen, no breakfast. Manager on duty too busy to service us. Promise to fix phone failed. Minimal value. Very dirty hallway carpets.

I stayed at the Hawthorn Suites in Jeffersonville, IN on a recent trip to Louisville. The price of the hotel was good and that was why I chose it. It is in a convenient location right near the bridges to Louisville on I-65 and US-31. The staff at the reception desk were friendly and helpful. However, that is pretty much the end of the positives about this hotel. The room was in need of a refresh. The carpet was dirty and the flooring in the kitchen was scuffed and worn. The glass turn-table in the microwave was missing. The room was a bit dirty and the bathroom needed a deep cleaning. The hallway in one area smelled like marijuana. In the middle of the night the fire alarm went off because a valve on the fire sprinkler system broke. I took that as a sign of a general lack of preventative maintenance. There was a grab and go breakfast, but it was packaged foods that were not all that appetizing. I cannot recommend the Hawthorne in Jeffersonville.

The hotel has seen better days - carpet dirty and worn, kitchen not well equipped or very clean, hole in window screen, kicked in bathroom door, furniture grimy. If we hadn’t been so exhausted from traveling, we never would have stayed! And then, to top it off, the sprinkling system malfunctioned three times! Fire alarm! Pumps suctioning up water and fans running. They charged us extra for the dog which was the cleanest thing in the room! The night clerk was very nice and apologetic. The morning clerk not so much.
