Residence Inn by Marriott Evansville East

I travel a lot to Evansville, IN and the Residence INN by Marriott is my go to hotel. From the clean and reasonable price to the phenomenal customer service this hotel is in a class of its own. I'm always leaving with the feeling of money well spent. Thank you again for the memorable experience.

Tiny black ants in the kitchen, bathroom, shower, even crawling across the bed. One window did not close all the way. The other window could not be opened. Windows were filthy, and screens were covered with insect webs. Big stains on the rug. Shower curtain had mold on the bottom and should have been replaced

Great Marriott experience with attentive staff, clean rooms and all the comforts of home. Loved the extra touches made by a staff that really clearly cares about guests. Great views with walkable lake and so close to everything! Tips on local area things to do was a bonus. Great stay!

Ok for short stay but would not recommend for long stay. We have stayed in multiple long stay properties and found Residence Inn to be our least preferred. Pros are spacious room. We especially liked the larger sofa and nice desk. Room was quiet, but could be due to low occupancy. Nice location with large pond across the road with walking path. Cons: - TV has very few channels that are digital. Loses the signal periodically (was told it’s an old system and needs upgrade). No premium channels. - Sink area is open to bedroom - Breakfast service poor. I come down between 8:30-9 and usually no eggs and other hot offerings very spotty. Oatmeal ALWAYS dried out. The last Residence Inn we stayed at always had good oatmeal no matter what time of the morning so I don’t understand what the problem is. - Cleaning subpar. Also, took about a month of complaints to get our room cleaning schedule straight. - Marriott no longer has evening social like other brands we stayed at.

From the moment I walked in the door, I was made very comfortable by the staff. I arrived very late (11pm), but the front desk person was waiting for me as the last check in person for the evening. The next morning complimentary breakfast was fantastic (I had the waffle) and the Hotel Manager (Mr. Bruno) was there and greeting the guests as they came in and asking if everything was to our liking and if there was anything he could do to improve our stay. My room was impeccable, clean and all needed appliances (coffee, refrigerator, cooktop) were in pristine condition. Several entrances provided easy access to my room. Location was perfect for me as I had several calls to make on the east side of Evansville and the Newburgh areas.
