Clean, seems to be newly remodeled. Last minute trip, 3 adults for two nights. We booked this location which was a bit further out than our destination as that area was fully booked and more expensive than this Holiday Inn. For the price, this place is perfect. I do appreciate clean rooms and hotel which this mostly checks those boxes. We lost an AirPod so moving everything in the room uncovered the invisible dust behind everything. The few areas that need improvement are lack of outlets and night stands on the outside areas of the beds. The inside side of the beds had two outlets and shared night stand. The lighting in the vanity or anywhere in the room for makeup application was sub par. I’d say lighting and not being able to plugin my phone near me at night were my greatest challenges. Over all staff was friendly, rooms were clean and inexpensive and I was able to book easily the evening before we arrived.

The hotel is newly remodeled and clean though they definitely could have paid more attention to some details...missed spots with paint, frayed carpet in the elevator, etc. Also, they could benefit from some landscaping and flowers...curb appeal. There were large planters outside with no plants/flowers instead people were putting trash in them and it wasn't removed. As far as the room...it was clean and adequate. Some small things...I was in a suite and there was just two small trash cans only, and neither were in the bathroom. Yes, it can be moved to the bathroom but for a suite more than two are definitely needed, especially since they were quite small. There were no directional signs...nothing noting how to use the tv remote, etc. One thing I really missed, and have always gotten them at other Holiday Inns, are the make-up wipes that are out. There was absolutely nothing. There was only one cup in the room, I guess have to ask for more. The front desk staff seem very underwhelmed to be there, particularly Teri B. who worked nights. She could not be any slower to get to the desk and any less enthused to help. To end on a positive, there was very good water pressure in the shower and the water stayed warm entire shower

We stayed here during the annual Cornbroom Festival in Arcola where we are a vendor. Front desk staff was all amazing, very helpful and nice. Let us drop some things off to store early then let us check in about 30 minutes early. Housekeeping the first day was a little slim. Got towels but that was it. No trash taken out or beds made. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast is good but same everyday. Would be nice to change it up a little. They ran out of milk, yogurt, etc during our visit and it was never restocked. It is pet friendly but I didn't remember the fee being $50 per night, I thought it was a flat fee but may be wrong. Our dog was not near as messy or noisy as the soccer team that stayed the first night and we could not sleep. We also reserved for a suite but we had a regular king room. Anyway, we will stay again.

This hotel has a brand spanking new, fully renovated lobby/front kitchen area. The breakfast service was closed for just a short time during my multiple stays, but opened up! Breakfast crew made something called BREAKFASTNUGGETS. Bruh, these nugs, I have yet to encounter some nugs like these. I controlled myself and held back, hopefully I see this mega-special treat again in my future travels. What is this pancake robot? I'm not sold, I haven't tried it, it doesn't seem appetizing at all--yet my mind is blown.

I booked a room at the Tuscola Holiday inn in early March for April 7th, received a confirmation April 4th and then found that they canceled our rez 4:45pm April 6th because they"overbooked" - I'm thinking they were offered more money so we got the boot. This was the week of the eclipse. After 1.5 hours on the phone with customer service we were told that if we could find another place to stay we world be reimbursed. We told customer service that we found one for$504, were given the case number and how to submit the request only to be told that the max they would give us was 20k points- enough for one night, maybe. That might give us a room for the night but what if they "overbook" again? WTF, Holiday Inn.
