Extended Stay America Suites Chicago Woodfield Mall

Booked the room online for a standard studio. I called 2 hours ahead of check in and was told that I could arrive an be checked in at 1:45 p.m... When I got here I was told that I had booked a handicap room (which I didn't) . I showed my itinerary which clearly had studio on there. They tried to explain that there was some issue when I booked the room and that's why I gave me this handicap room..They also told me I couldn't check in because my room was being cleaned. When I finally got into my room it smells horrible and it really doesn't look clean to me. I open the fridge there's a bunch of leftover food and expired milk from weeks ago..Doesn't look like the fridge or the kitchen has been cleaned ever. Absolutely disgusting I would never recommend anyone to stay here

I used this extended stay location because of the undeniable talent of the front desk auditor who works second shift. He has always been an absolute joy to work with, a true team player, and always foster positive discussions and brings the best out of the other employees. Without a doubt this individual is a wonderful additional to the Extended Stay America - Chicago - Woodfield Mall team. Customers enjoy connecting with him and saying hello while passing the front desk and ALWAYS handles issues with a smile and in an efficient manner. I can truly see a progressive career in his future and wish him an abundance of success. Complete joy to work with. THANK YOU and keep up the good work.

Everything was great except other guests were not very willing to share the luggage cart. The girl that works on Friday night and checked me in was great! She should get a promotion and raise. She was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful.

The only redeeming quality that this hotel had was courteous check in staff. I travel for business a lot so I love extended stay hotels, I've never had such a disappointing experience. The room was horribly outdated, the furniture was broken. The bedding was stained/dirty and the "blanket" you are given is the thickness of a sheet and no other blankets were given. The beds are horrible uncomfortable. I observed mold and dirty surfaces in the bathroom.

I want to first say this place was really inexpensive and front desk staff were nice. I would have to say when my family arrived I was waiting in the car while we got checked in and someone was on something and almost walked into my car. Cigarette butts and Cannabis blunts were on the ground and it was not a family friendly atmosphere. But for the price it is what it is.
