Sonesta Chicago O'Hare Airport Rosemont

Super impressed with this hotel—best O’Hare hotel for the money! Parking was plentiful, staff was so friendly, there was a restaurant on site and also many others close by, and rooms were great—we had a double room where each bed was in its own room and bathroom (one door into the room but then two rooms inside). Perfect for our group.

I decided to grab food at the restaurant and had the worst service and experience. I can only assume it was due to my race. The bartender/server “FRANK “is the reason. You would have thought me and my fellow crew member were invisible. Completely ignored and yelled & spoken down to when asking for the checks. As we watched him interact with everyone else at the bar who all happened to be white in such a pleasant manner It became obvious, I spoke to his manager about our experience but it’s safe to assume if you are a person of color you will not be welcomed by him. I’d rather spend my money elsewhere and inform my company. ** COVERT RACISM IS STILL RACISM

I was offered an upgrade from a room to a very nice suite, which I greatly appreciated after being delayed for 24 hours by snow in Chicago. The lack of any breakfast service in the restaurant the following morning was a bit of a disappointment, however.

Room was clean and modern with nice bathroom.Bed was nice and firm. Carpet was worn and needed to be replaced. Everything else was fine. Service for the hotel was good,staff was friendly and efficient, check in was smooth. We eat at the hotel restaurant and it was exceptional, also had a very nice bar

Athena is a great host She represents the organization well She is a wonderful person who treats everyone with courtesy and respect A smile is always waiting for you as you arrive and makes you feel like you’ve arrived at home. A pleasure to deal with and we enjoyed speaking with her.
