Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Midway Airport

We were stuck in Chicago overnight due to a snow storm at home that cancelled our flight. After reviewing several options near the airport, we chose this hotel based on photos and room descriptions. As we walked in the room, we all turned up our nose at the odor and nearly retched at the stains on the pull out sofa. We laid layers of towels over the stains, slept in our clothes, and left for the airport hours earlier than necessary just to get out of that room.

Very short stay. We arrived at 10pm and stayed the night before early am flight. Front desk was fast and friendly. Very convenient location next to MDW, easy in and out to the airport. Agree with others, needs some major updating. I wouldn't say room was dirty, just very worn and ready for a refresh. I would not stay here again unless under similar circumstance where need a bed before an early morning flight, and even then would probably try one of the other hotels in the same complex (reg Marriott, Res inn, hyatt place, etc. They are all there)

I came from an international trip taking more than 29 hours on airplanes and airports, and was really tired by the time I arrived. I had another flight to take back home from Midway Airport but I was too fatigued to stay and wait at the airport. I chose to stay at this hotel due to its proximity to the airport, and the fact that it has a TGI Friday’s right inside the hotel building. It was nice to go grab a meal there without having to go outside. My room was spacious and comfortable. Granted, the interior design and layout is order & less modern than other Courtyards. But the room was impeccably clean, and everything worked well. The bedding was comfortable, with the only minus being the internet connection being a bit slow. The hotel had everything I needed to recharge my batteries for my flight the next afternoon. The hotel staff at the front desk and at the Bistro were first rate helpful and hospitable. Overall, this is an ideal hotel for those transiting overnight through Midway airport, or simply wanting a short stay in Chicago.

This hotel is located conveniently in the hotel circle area near Chicago’s Midway Airport. The shuttle picks up for about five different properties so make sure your hotel is listed on the outside of the shuttle before getting onto it. Leave a little extra time when going to the airport as the shuttle picks up for the five properties as well. The hotel has an indoor pool and workout room. The hotel is a little dated and is in need of a refresh but it is clean and the staff is friendly. A great price for the location and proximity to MDW if you need a close convenient hotel in that area.

Fine for a one night stay before an early morning flight. Otherwise, a hard pass. Room was spacious, but needs some serious updating. Carpets in dire need of replacement. Couch worn and stained. Parking at $24 a night is a ripoff. Plenty of other hotels nearby, next time I’ll choose another.
