Holiday Inn Express Lewiston an IHG Hotel

My only complaint is that the breakfast area was filthy the trash was running over and the breakfast host didn’t even say good morning there no pancakes no cinnamon rolls nothing was inviting to look at I would not come back or will I recommend this hotel to anyone the breakfast host close the door so she didn’t have to deal with the guest and had a nerve to have a tip jar

Pros: First off, the front desk staff was pleasant. We really appreciate that she allowed us to check in a little early on Thanksgiving Day. Each front desk staff we encountered was actually pretty nice. Cons: The hotel needs some updating and TLC. We have stayed at many IHG chains and this one was a disappointment honestly. Since I work in hospitality, I know that saying hello goes a long way with staff, however, the housekeepers were not friendly whatsoever and did not want to be bothered. We needed towels and there were no clean ones available at the time. We asked for tissue and was handed it with an attitude. Breakfast was not good. The pancake machine not on (deliberately off and pancake bag emptied), cinnamon rolls depleted, coffee station a mess, and trash was completely overflowed. In speaking with the breakfast hostess, she said her helper called off and that she wasn’t feeling well either. I really hope that this improves because it makes the hotel look horrible. We will not stay at this location again.

One night stay. Looking to be near Hardrock Casino but not pay Hardrock Casino nights price. Nice hotel, set in lovely area. Room was comfortable. Didn’t love rug on floors but it was fine. Food was good. Didn’t have pancakes to offer or juices but had enough other stuff. Staff was ok. Didn’t always seem that interested to serve. Not a bad experience.

We visited Tampa this August; when we arrived at hotel we weren’t too happy with our room. To our pleasure the hotel made everything good and the rest of our stay was 5 star thanks to the staff. I applaud the effort the staff make to be accommodating. I would stay here again. Thank you everyone.

Nice hotel. Newer build and/or fresh renovations throughout. All staff were very nice and both the room and common areas were very clean. Some limited areas of the carpeting in the room had discoloration/long term staining, but again it was still clean. Beds were sufficiently comfortable but not impressively so. I don’t care for the wall mounted pump action soaps in the shower, but almost all hotels do this. However, one of my concerns about this finally came to fruition: the maid didn’t refill the soap container and it was empty. Had to shower with hand soap (also pump action) from sink. Not the end of the world but not optimal. On the plus side, shower water pressure was exceptional, and we were on the top floor! Breakfast was great as it usually is for HIX brand. The ladies working the breakfast nook were extremely helpful and friendly. Great way to start your day. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool area, but it looked immaculate and was surrounded by beautiful lush tropical vegetation and ample loungers. Really wish I could have hung out there lol. No hot tub though. The hotel is very convenient to I-75 and restaurants and shopping but is also tucked back a good bit from the very busy Adamo Rd, making the hotel a bit like a quiet refuge yet still close to the action. Overall I really like this hotel and would stay again. Just had to dock a star for the failure to keep soap containers filled.
