Country Hearth Inn & Suites Toccoa

I really enjoyed the small little town this hotel sits in. The front desk clerks are very nice. I can't remember the two lady's I met, but my dog loved them as well. I can't wait for my next visit. The pillows were a little on the flat end, but other than that it was a great stay.

The inn is in the midst of renovations. It seems we had a room that was finished (?). Floors were completed, side tables as well. Bathroom was great. No lights for reading on sides of bed - only overheads - this was not good - I like to read before I sleep - my husband wants it dark - so I couldn't read (didn't think to bring my personal light). TV only works for what their system thinks should be free - not cool at all as the cable set up was different than our passworded one from home. Did not have breakfast food there. Bottled water not available from machine near lobby. Older microwave and perfectly fine fridge in room. For 1 night, it was OK. Won't likely use this place again, though. Service at front desk was fine, by the way.

2 beds were crowded into the room wit barely room to squeez through, the "kitchen area" was not clean enough to make a cup of coffee. We left soon after seeing the room. The Desk Clerk refused to cancel my reservations so I have to dispute the charges with my bank. I booked through a 3rd party and the number now sells medical supplies. And the Lobby was filled with friends and family of the employee at the desk.

No frills, but clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast did leave something to be desired, but the coffee was fairly good. Isn’t that the most important thing, after all? The desk attendant was very nice and helpful. All in all, I’d say it was a pretty good pick for a place to stay.

We had a hot tub suite on the second floor (standard rooms were sold out) and it smelled like mildew so it wasnt bearable for more than a couple of days, but other than that we had a great experience and loved it there. Karen and Kristen are amazing people. It feels like we have family in Toccoa. The coffee is *amazing* — also great location — was walking distance from the train and restaurants.
