Unbelievably good luxury boutique hotel experience in Savannah. My son attends college here and I’ve stayed at several places (Thompson, Aloft..). Perry Lane is the best yet! The details, service, design and comfort level is unmatched. The restaurant is spacey and delicious, great bar too! The pool is small but charming and perfect for some relaxation. The beds are better than four seasons and the frette robes and byredo products were so luxe. Overall it was the service that made me feel so pampered. Check in, valet, pool and bar-the people are the real stars. Thank you Perry Lane! We’ll be here no everytime we’re in Savannah.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Savannah with my family for four nights (April 12th-16th). We noticed that the fifth floor hallway smelled very musty and moldy. It was a disgusting smell. My daughter actually developed a cough while there that has gotten better after leaving. We also did not have any hot water the night of the 15th, which was pretty disappointing after an entire day of walking the city to not be able to go back and shower, or even wash your face, with hot water. We were leaving the next day too, and were not able to clean ourselves up. It was very disappointing. I called the front desk that night to make them aware of the problem, but no one picked up. We realized the next morning when we heard pipes shaking in our wall, and saw a maintenance man outside our room in the hallway with pipes exposed, that something was wrong with the water pipes. We were never notified of a problem. Upon checking out, my husband informed a worker at the front that we had no hot water the prior night. They did not appear concerned at all and stated, “Oh no really?” They did not attempt to rectify the situation at all. I believe that if you are not providing the basic needs you were supposed to provide, then a refund for that night should be processed. I've emailed them twice with the concerns about our stay, and unfortunately no one has contacted me back.

We had a fantastic 3-night stay (Monday through Thursday) with our best friends from college, who were celebrating their 42nd anniversary. We plan an annual getaway together and always really research hotels and restaurants in the location we choose. We were SO PLEASED with our selection of Perry Lane! We received a very warm (and organized) welcome, with glasses of champagne at check-in. Beautiful furnishings and decor, in darker, elegant colors. Our roomy spot in the tower building, on the 5th floor was VERY quiet, with a great bed, wonderful shower, quiet and quick elevators. A+. RIGHT around the corner is a high end convenience store which was so convenient for hummus, fruits and cheeses for the room. And we had great drinks at the bar right next to the tower, where we were allowed to take them outside to enjoy them. We also quickly visited the hotel's rooftop bar one night after dinner and it is beautiful. We found the staff's hospitality consistent and generous. They gave us chilled bottles of water whenever we requested them, as we left for or returned from our extensive walks around the "warm" city. We brought some good wines from NJ and TN and the front desk was so accommodating, providing us wine glasses each night for our tasting in the library, before we walked to dinner. The concierge and all of the front desk staff truly seemed happy to see us enjoying ourselves. Another plus? The hotel has a private car that will drive you within a 2-3 mile radius (which takes you to a lot of places in Savannah)...it is first come, first served. We were VERY glad we stayed at Perry Lane. The location cannot be beat. It is on a short block and is walkable to the river, to Forsythe Park, to the museums......everywhere we wanted to spend time. Two out of three nights we were able to walk to dinner. I highly recommend this hotel to couples, especially during the week. We had an outstanding experience, with only adults on site when we were there and it was peaceful, elegant, friendly and stress-free.

The hotel is in the perfect location, beautifully maintained with the most accommodating staff. The rooftop pool and bar were gorgeous. Amenities were plentiful. The front desk clerk, Passion, was fantastic and Valets Stratton and Julian were extra helpful!

PLH is in a prime location right on the edge of the historic district which made it super convenient. Check-in was smooth despite the fact that we arrived way early. The lobby was stylish and airy. Room was as expected which was a higher floor, cityscape view. Room was well appointed and super clean. Gym was well-equipped and a nice size. The roof top pool was great. Service was super attentive. The adjacent bar also a great scene at sunset. Emporium restaurant on premises very good, albeit a bit pricey. So why you ask doesn't PLH get a 5-star rating? 2 main reasons. On our second day there coming back from the gym, jumped in the shower which was ice cold. No hot water! So we just chalked it up to maybe it's a busy time of the morning with lots of rooms using the water. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Later that evening, jumping in the shower before dinner and still ice cold. This time it warranted a complaint to the front desk. Turned out that there were a bunch of rooms on our floor that had the same issue. It was resolved after a few more hours but an entire day with no hot water at a luxury hotel is a mark against. Second, this is a more minor complaint.... PLH has an in-house cafe, however, the coffee is not good at all. Also, there are very limited "to go" options for breakfast. Basically just a couple of muffins and croissants. If you want to have breakfast at the hotel you need to order room service or sit at the emporium restaurant. For many guests I'm sure this is no big deal but for our family, we like to have a quickie grab and go breakfast in the morning. So for us, it was inconvenient. All in all PLH is a solid choice if staying in Savannah especially if you are just planning on hanging around the historic district. The roof top pool setup was great on a hot day and the room was also top notch. We wouldn't expect that the hot water issue is something that's a recurring issue. Therefore we would consider staying there again
