Nice extended stay hotel in the middle of the action in Pooler, but set back out of the traffic and noise! We stayed over thanksgiving and we’re going back over Christmas! Super friendly and attentive staff. We’ll run, clean, with a great breakfast.

Home2 Suites is a series of hotels created by Hilton in 2009 to meet the demand for a midscale, extended-stay hotel that offers home-like comforts. According to the data, it was made to be flexible and affordable, while still maintaining the brand's core essence. The hotel in the Pooler/Savannah is off the west side of I-95 and follows the standard arrangement of 4-story building. Traffic in this area can be a little challenging so choose your time to arrive carefully or you may be waiting on the road for a while, like I did. The upside of that is there is a lot of options for food and shopping very near to the building. Check-in was easy. The staff was friendly. The lobby was bright and clean. The room I stayed in was a large affair with two parts. There is a curtain that could be pulled to separate the two parts. One part was a seating area. The other was a bedroom and desk affair. There was a kitchen area across from the restroom as you enter. There is limited space for hanging up clothes but there is a lot of desk space along one side of the room. There was only one TV that is shared between the two spaces. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay for a good price in a convenient area.

On Friday Sept,. 27, we booked a room at Home 2 Suites. Our confirmed reservation was for Sat,. Sept. 28, 2024. The room booked was a king room for 2 with a small dog. We were charged and had email confirmation. Forty minutes prior check-in, the hotel called and told us they had canceled our room. They had overbooked the rooms. (and we were not the only ones) They were full and had no other rooms available. Our credit card would be refunded, and we would receive Hilton points. Whoopeee! Well, this was totally inexcusable. Such bad business and incompetence! We were on our way to Pooler to meet our children & grandchildren. They didn't even try to find us another room. They left us hanging. Luckily, we live not too far away, but they certainly ruined our afternoon, evening, and Sunday. We will never use Home 2 Suites ever again! Karin Harrison

We have stayed at this hotel before and returned again heading north in July. The staff was very friendly and the room clean and comfortable. The area around this hotel is building out quite a bit, more stores, restaurants, hotels and traffic. In comparison to many of the regional areas, this area of Pooler has all new roads and improvements so it is nice to visit. I recommend this hotel and suggest you check out the area.

We have stayed at several Hilton Honors locations in SC, GA, and FL. I’ve been so impressed that it seemed like a no-brainer to book this hotel for the drive home. Wrong. Upon arrival on a Friday evening, I was immediately questioning my decision. There was a family waiting to purchase snacks at the counter and had been there some time; between that mom & myself it took a good 7 more minutes of calling “ Hello” and waking through the lobby/hall looking for someone. Then when one of the two staff finally came out- she was apologetic but also a bit snippy. Her counterpart was sitting in the lobby playing on his phone. Now, I would have said this was a fluke and not an issue with laziness and understaffing until we returned to our room and discovered that the couch bed-which we conformed with said staff we would absolutely need- had no sheets, no mattress cover, no blankets. I called down and the same manager said- “Well, you will just need to come down and get those yourself.” Ok,- annoying, not my prior experience ever with a Hilton honors hotel,…..but then I open my door to discover the lazy staff member whohad just escorted a person to their room is now slowly making his way to the elevator with me (and another customer) and is watching horrendously inappropriate videos on his phone with the N-word and cussing every other word. This morning- I was dreading breakfast and the staff this AM was the hotels saving grace! I was fully prepared to have NOTHING nice to say- but WOW what a difference-they were all Kind, respectful, organized and clearly well prepared. Breakfast was hot and ready, but we were a little disappointed to see that the omelettes were either meat or veggie…and there was no just Egg option for the kids. Coffee was great and their were plenty of options for bread/grab and go which makes sense near the airport. We were just expecting more for a HH hotel after our prior H2H experiences. Overall, I can only give it an average because of Friday night. I certainly hope this was a fluke and that they were understaffed because if not, the young man working needs some training and the manager needs better support
