Best Western Riverside Inn

My wife, myself and our two year old dog stay at this hotel for one night on our way back home to Canada from Florida. The hotel is on the older side but well maintained. Our room was on the first floor in F building which is right outside the dog area. The dog area was very clean with plenty of dog bags and garbage cans. Parking lot was huge and we had no problem parking near our room. Room was well equipped and everything worked well. Room was on the older side however was clean and comfortable. We were charged $20.00 for our dog to stay with us. Fair in our view. Breakfast was fine with hot items such as eggs and sausage patties. No toaster so no bread or bagels. Overall we had a restful night and enjoyed our stay at Best Western Riverside.

We stayed here just three nights ago in a lovely, clean, fresh smelling room. We are now staying here on our return trip in a different room across the hall. It appears clean but the beds smell musty and mildewy and when the air conditioning runs it smells of dirty socks. I was so looking forward to a repeat of our first experience but unfortunately it is not to be.

I chose this hotel because of all the 4 & 5 star reviews. We have never stayed in Macon and wanted somewhere near 75.Some of the room has been updated like the floors and bed.Looks like mold on the popcorn ceiling,terrible little sofa/ sleeper from the 70s it matches the gold drapes.Tinyest bathroom ever,the room had an old musty smell. You could hear the people next door sneezing and coughing and talking,no insulation at all.I should have left after we walked in the room and just lost our money.

This hotel was reasonable rate for us while we were traveling thru from Florida back to Canada. Staff very friendly rooms clean,bed was comfortable bathroom was clean and enough towels,water worked wells and lots of hot water and breakfast included had lots of options. Pet friendly with area to take the dog out and available pet pop bags. No complaints from this retired couple. They even accommodated us changing rooms so we could be right outside to see our vehicle with boat.

We stayed just one night here as we passed through the area. Its location right off I-75 worked for us. And it wasn't too far a drive into historic downtown Macon. Plenty of parking available. Our check-in was easy. Our room was clean and spacious; the bed was comfortable.
