The property was nicer than expected and very clean and well maintained. I stay at a lot of hotels in this price range so I can say; this is among the nicest. But what REALLY made my stay was Julia, who at the front desk at check in but was the Assistant General Manager. Sometimes you get really professional people with no personality, no “heart”. And sometimes you get people that are very nice, but unfortunately don’t try very hard at their jobs. Julia is the rare exception. She was completely professional, efficient and knowledgeable. But also, warm and genuine. She just seemed to genuinely care. And sometimes that’s missing. Brains and heart! What more could you want? She really made my stay. I will be staying here if I ever come back to Valdosta area again.

I have been a Hilton Honors Diamond member for 10+ years. I say this just to explain that I have stayed at quite a few properties. This property is one of the two worst ones ever over the past 10 years. The other one was closed down within 6mo. of me staying there years ago. This needs to happen here as well or at least have Hilton pull their name off this building. I cannot even begin to explain everything wrong as I don’t have enough space. From staff to the maintenance of property to cleanliness etc…etc…

Do not stay here. Definitely the worst Hampton I have ever stayed at. A VERY tired hotel at best! It was old, dingy, dirty, unfriendly, and had a horrible breakfast. Couldn’t wait to leave. Hampton’s must do a much better job to keep its client base. A very disappointing experience.

BED BUGS!!!! Do NOT book a room at this bed bug infested hotel. My gf and I stayed in an Atrium suite, Room 325 on April 5th thru 7th, 2024 and we were bitten from head to toe by bed bugs during the night. My gf had to go to urgent care and be placed on antibiotics and steroids. I am a nurse practitioner and I know how bed bugs present themselves, I know what the bites look like. Bed bug bites can often take up to 72 hours to showup and start torturing you. On Tuesday the 9th, I tried to call the hotel and report that we were bit up but they wouldn't answer the phone, so I called Hilton Honors customer Service and made a report which they told me was being sent over to the hotel same day. Hilton Honors said they take this very seriously and you will be compensated which was total BS. After waiting the entire rest of the week with no response from the Hotel, I called back Hilton Honors on Saturday morning the 13th, and they called the hotel directly and spoke to the "manager" who told them she knew nothing about the complaint but that she would look into it and call me back personally by the end of the day. She never called or contacted the entire weekend. They were clearly trying to blow me off and clean up the evidence in the room. Monday morning the 15th I called the Georgia Health Department and made a complaint and they went out there and were told by management again that this was "the first time they were hearing of it". By that time the health department was unable to find evidence of bed bugs. The Hotel had almost an entire week to change mattresses and clean up the evidence which I am convinced is exactly what they did. Then on 4/20 the hotel miraculously calls me , this time its a "new manager" they claim the previous manager no longer worked there. But they wanted to let me know that the State found no evidence of bed bugs. I was like look, I am an NP and we are bitten from head to toe, never had bed bugs before, I want my money back. This manager seemed like she was trying to help me, and said she was pretty sure the owner would refund me and she would call me back and then crickets! She even took my hilton Honors info. Turns out that manager is also gone now. I disputed the charges with my credit card and the hotel refused to refund me, stating that there was no bed bugs found. This hotel is shady! I called Hilton Honors customer Service back and they told me that the hotel was documenting that they were calling me and emailing me all along which was total lies. My gf and I had stayed here about a year prior and she was bitten by what we think was a spider during the night, We didn't make a complaint that time because it was only one bite, I will never stay at this hotel agin, and you shouldn't either.

I have tried to be patient before writing this review but I cannot get a resolve so I am hoping to warn others! On Feb 22nd, I booked a one night stay on Hilton.com. We arrived in the early hours of Feb 23rd. At 9:30 am, after only staying in the room for 6 hours, we checked out to complete our road trip. When I received my statement they had charged me for this night along with a stay on Feb 23-Feb 24. I immediately contacted the hotel and explained the situation. I spoke with the front desk who ensured me that a manager would contact me. After a couple of days of no response, I had to call back and go through the process again. After 4 days, I finally called and the manager, Celinda Manco, spoke with me. She assured me that she would look into it & did call me back and said she had contacted their accounting department which said they had no record of it. I let my credit card company know and they said they would call too. When the credit card company called they told them it was in fact a real charge!! Almost 3 months later and I am STILL dealing with a $206.60 charge. I proceeded to call the 800 number for Hilton because I hoped I would have more help. Spoke with Gina who called the local hotel and spoke with the manager at 2 pm on May 13, 2024. She ensured me that the manager would call me back the same day to remove the charges. When I didn’t receive a call back, I called this morning May 14th and Bri, who was very nice, informed me that she couldn’t help me but that she would put a note under the GM’s door because Celinda no longer works there. I am beyond frustrated and I am WARNING people to avoid staying here because I feel there is some shady business going on.
