Sleep Inn & Suites Columbus next to Fort Moore

This property is very nice. Ample parking and very welcoming lobby. Our room was really lovely and clean. There was no carpet in the room which was appreciated. The breakfast room was clean and well stocked, thanks to JJ, who we enjoyed speaking with. This was great for its proximity to Ft. Moore and also for places to eat, and Walmart. It was a bit aggravating to not be able to get a luggage trolley. Also, the elevator is a bit scary. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the hotel while visiting Georgia for our son’s basic training graduation. I can only say nice things about the hotel and the stay were so friendly and we’re literally cleaning, talking to guests or stocking necessities 24 hours a day. The decorated the place while we’re were there for the holidays. It was clean, spacious and had everything we were looking for. I highly recommend this as an option for those staying in Columbus. We booked one night at this hotel based solely on location and low price point. Conveniently located close to Fort Moore and listed as newly renovated, we reserved a room for $73 knowing we would be there for a total of 8 hours and were simply hoping it would be decent. We were pleasantly surprised with our choice! The property was newly renovated, decorated with cheery, bright colors, and offered a complimentary, no-frills hot breakfast. Our room was clean, had all new flooring, a mini kitchenette, a surprisingly comfortable bed, and a small, but adequate, bathroom. The walls looked like they had not yet been updated but signage throughout the hotel indicated that renovations were ongoing so I’m not sure if the room we were in might be getting new paint or wall coverings at a later date. For the price, you really can’t beat the value here. I would highly recommend this hotel for budget conscious travelers looking for a clean, well maintained property near Fort Moore.

ONLY GAVE ONE STAR BECAUSE I CAN’T GIVE NO STARS Horrible from the moment we entered the dirty room. Called to ask for a clean room and they were completely booked. Ok….called and asked for towels because we have 4 people in the room and only 2 towels….non available. Asked to have room cleaned in the morning because we arrived so late at night. We were told they don’t clean the rooms but every 3 days and we needed to bring our towels to them to get clean towels. Asked for the garbage to be emptied and they didn’t do it…asked to speak with a manager and there is non available. Asked for a refund and there is no one to help or speak with. Fast forward to Monday (already here for 3 days just “dealing” because we already paid…) toilet will not flush and is backed up (for the second time this stay) ask for a plunger and they tell us they don’t have one (but there was one 2 days ago when we needed it) they give us a toilet agar that we have to go get from the front desk and bring to our room…we don’t know how to use it….ask for a new room with a working toilet…say they can’t move us to another room, ask for a manager, say there isn’t one available…. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND When we finally were able to talk to the manager, he said he didn’t see a problem and there was nothing he could do to help us. NEVER WILL I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE OR GO BACK

Very lose to Fort Moore. The bed was nice and comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was friendly. The only thing I would have liked would have been a couple of more towels in the room but apparently these are like spun gold in Columbus, GA.
