Holiday Inn Express Calhoun South an IHG Hotel

This is an outstanding hotel. Great service at checkin, clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. All employees were genuinely nice. The fitness center was great, it had dumbells which is very rare. I got to do a workout. The indoor pool was ok but the chlorine smell was really strong so my family didn't stay long. But that's a minor point, we had a great stay.

Hotel is in a great location. It's close to a lot of things. The entrance is a little confusing but not difficult. The beds were the best. Soft mattress and pillows. The breakfast was wonderful. The pancake machine was not working but I'm sure will be fixed soon. The staff was wonderful. The hotel clean. The price was good.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn for 2 days during Going Caching and enjoyed the room and breakfast. Everything in the mobility room was as expected and clean. Only one thing caused me to take off a star on the rating - the concierge food area was overpriced. We weren't able to arrive until midnight, so I decided to buy something rather than go out for food. When I was told that the 15 count pizza bites were $14.95 ($2.49 at Krogers), I decided to go hungry. I asked the desk clerk if that was the usual reaction, and she said it was. So, if few people ever pay a 600% mark-up, how fresh can the food be? If this is supposed to be an amenity for the guests, then this hotel has failed. They need to think about their guests rather than making a buck.

I stayed here alone for 1 night. I was grateful to see that it was located just off the highway and that there were plenty of fuel and food options as well. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Service was quick & easy and breakfast was great! My only complaint is that the pool was so overloaded with chemicals I couldn't stand to sit in the room. I was hoping to relax in there for a few and stretch out from a long days drive. Will stay again, safety is far more important than the pool.

We stayed in many other Holiday Inn Express on our month long road trip and this was the nicest one by far. Clean, smell good, good breakfast options. Nice spacious rooms and decent. No complaining at all. Driving through over night stay, quiet as well.
