Thereâs good, even excellent, and then there is Superbly Marvelous. From the staff, noting Chris Garber and Israel, we thank you for your first-class welcome and hospitality. To the continental breakfast extraordinaire: we applaud the salmon cream cheese spread and fresh bagels, fresh fruit, berries and all, homemade zucchini bread, delicate salad, salami and cheese, eggs, gourmet coffee, and fresh fruit juices. And letâs talk about the stylish, homey rooms, 28 in all shapes and sizes: some upstairs with spectacular views of the Palm Springs mountains, others with back patios, and those with kitchenettes! Our favorites are Drum roll~ cottages with backyards, outdoor showers, whole living and dining rooms, and separate bedrooms. Sigh of Joy property also includes hands down the best saltwater year-round heated pool and the strongest large healing whirlpool jacuzzi youâll ever experience. Free bikes, shuffleboards, a help-yourself ice cream freezer stand, and fresh fruit trees are all available for your joyful escape into a wonderland of possibilities and pleasure.

Chris and his team run a tight ship at the Holiday House Hotel! Everything is maintained well and kept up to a high standard. We had a fantastic stay here as part of a Californian road trip and this has been the best hotel we have stayed in. Itâs been lovely to have a gay friendly hotel but open to all -so a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The highlights were the pool / jacuzzi area and the free hotel bikes for exploring the mid century houses near by. Thank you everyone for making our stay perfect and for being flexible when we needed to leave 1 night early- a rarity these days!

I spent a lot of time deciding where to stay in Palm Springs and I am so glad I chose Holiday House. It is right in the centre but still wonderfully quiet. At check-in we received adorable 'Love is Love' multicoloured beaded bracelets as a welcome gift - such a cute touch! Our room was perfect - beautifully decorated with a spacious, super comfortable bed and luxurious bed linen. Sitting on the balcony with mountain views was incredibly peaceful. The bathrobes were plush (though slippers would be a nice addition) and the bathroom products were high quality. Thoughtful little extras like Tic Tacs, mouthwash and toothpaste were a nice surprise. The included continental breakfast was lovely and a great start before lounging by the pool. The entire staff was fantastic but the housekeeping team stood out - always friendly, helpful and ready to assist with any questions. I cannot wait to come back!

Stayed here for 2 nights in March with my sister. It was my first time to Palm Springs and the Holiday House was recommended by a local and overall we were happy with our stay. Itâs a boutique hotel on the smaller side but that gives us a great local and personal feel. I debated between 4 and 5 stars but I always have to look at the price versus what you get. And our room was ~$850/night so for that price you have to look at what you are getting versus other full service hotels in the area. Yes, it was high season but itâs still on the pricier side. Staff: A+ The team here is overly friendly (in a good way). I donât think we passed through the lobby without a âgood morningâ or âhelloâ. Chris, the GM, gets a shout out as well as the waitstaff at the restaurant. Everyone was super helpful. Location: A+ One block off the main strip so was quieter but easy to walk everywhere. There are dozens of restaurants and shopping within a 5 minute walk. Grounds: A Well laid out and clean grounds. They have parking right on sight and we never had an issue getting a spot. There is also shuffle board, a fire pit, and cabanaâs for more general outdoor relaxation. Pool: B+ It was a bit cold when we were there so didnât go in the pool. More than enough comfy chairs for the # of guest through. However, they were lacking clean towels and we had 30 mins for them to bring more. And there wasnât consistent wait staff. But again, it wasnât exactly prime pool weather so many in a different season this is adjusted. Room: A- We had a âBig Roomâ on the second floor which definitely lived up to its name. Huge bar, seating area, bathroom with 2 sinks, a soaking tub and shower. Bed was super comfy. A/C not easy to use and our room lacked a balcony which was a bummer. Seemed smaller rooms had balconies. For the large rooms like ours this was a disappointment. Also note there is no elevator so if you have trouble with stairs you should request a room on the first floor. Lobby: B The lobby is cute, cozy and picturesque and ideal for Insta-worthy moments. However there is no real check-in desk. You end up going up to the bar where they have the computer. And there is no place to store luggage if you arrive early or leave late. They stack them up in the living room area which is a bit awkward. Restaurant: A We split a lunch here (which the GM nicely comped us due to some A/C woes) which was good. Itâs all outdoors, nicely decorated and covered and gives a feel-good vibe. In hindsight we should have tried dinner here too. Housekeeping: B They seem to lack enough housekeeping staff as past 2:30 no one had come to clean as they were prioritizing check out rooms to turn them over. When they did come they did a good job. Note you will only get 2 towels in the bathroom, apparently to conserve water due to Cali droughts. And you have to ask to get more and get them replaced. In hindsight we said we wished we had forgone the bigger room and gotten a smaller room with a balcony. There wasnât a big difference in price but the balcony would have been great. Iâm not giving 5 stars just due to the high price versus the overall friendly but not overly luxurious experience I expect with it. But donât let that deter you. Itâs a great option in PS that I highly recommend.

The Holiday House is fantastic ! Great location, great rooms, great pool and adjoining area, great breakfast, very relaxed vibe. It was perfect to be able to walk just a block to the main street and then back to the quiet of the Holiday House. And most of all. a wonderful staff. Thank you Chris and staff for an incredible stay.
