Best Western Ashburn Inn

My wife and I booked a night at the Quality Inn Ashburn, GA for a one night stay during our return drive to Chicago from Florida. On arrival, the room looked clean and presentable -- just what you'd want for a one night stay while on a longer journey. Shortly after we went to bed, my wife started itching but initially we thought it was a allergic reaction to something she'd eaten. Around 3:30am, she got up and was startled, "There's a bug on me!" she shouted. I got up and sure enough, it was a large bedbug, engorged with her blood. Lights on and we shook out the blankets and pillows and collected the bedbugs you see in the picture/video below (we actually caught more later as well that aren't in the photo). Since it was already 3:30am and we had to be up and out early, we passed a few more icky hours in the room. The next day we both ended up covered in large and painful bedbug bites as you can see in the attached pictures (my wife asked that hers not be included in this review). Since we had to be on our way, I did not confront the owner about this situation, but I did leave the baggie of bugs on the bed for him so that hopefully, he will rectify this situation. In the meanwhile, I am here to warn you that you should NOT book at Quality Inn Ashburn Georgia because of the bedbug infestation. -- see my google review for VIDEO of the bedbugs

The room was standard and we were able to check in early but once we arrived, the main reason we picked this hotel was the use of a pool during the Memorial Day weekend… The pool was closed and inoperable… The manager said that they were trying to find someone to open the pool… when I told him the use of a pool was the defining reason I picked this property… he didn’t apologize or anything

I stopped here by myself, already being scared to stay in hotels, and woke up to a MAN opening my hotel door an hour before my checkout. Thankfully the top chain was latched as well, but I also had my door locked and I know that for certain. He obviously scanned a card To get in. Very uncomfortable and will never stay in a hotel again no matter how tired I am on a long drive. Disgusting & absolutely no excuse.

The first thing important to know is the City is not the safest, and the grocery prices about 60% above avg. That along with the breakfast being rotten and not tasty, you'll need to pack allot of food. Even the yogurt was curdled..The room is not in poor condition, but the bed is very hard and the bathtubs have intentional removal of a way to plug it for a bath. I was having trouble breathing and it maybe from the use of fabuloso. The chair with footrest is nice though. I'd avoid this hotel if you care to relax and swim, because it hasn't had upkeep in years and the photo online is not accurate. It has algae and bad odors. It is inconvenient across the parking lot. I did enjoy not walking through cigarette smoke as most hotels have. The pet fees are not listed on 3rd party websites so get ready for the high 20$ per pet, something unfair when the ammenities are not avail. and things done "cheaply". The only thing that stood out above the rest is a large cable package-truly impressive.

This was a very nice place — just what we needed after a hard day. The beds were really really comfy, the shower great, checkin staff friendly and helpful. We have a dog and there was a large area of grass outside the room … she loved it.
