TownePlace Suites by Marriott in 1139 Abercorn in Savannah Ga We stayed from 7/24/2024-7/27/2024 In a two bedroom suite this was an apartment- we all love it( we travel a lot ) The hotel was convenient to everything. We could walk over to the olive garden, and it was easy to get to Tybee Island. The staff did their job- Torrie (from maid service) made sure we had what we needed for our room in due time. Wanda, we must say, was the best. She did everything from checking us in, doing a follow up to make sure we were comfortable, and made sure doing our stay we had everything we needed. This was a great hotel and staff

This was a wonderful experience, the two full bedroom and full kitchenette! VERY clean and even has it's own A/C system for the room with the vent on the ceiling. Plenty of places to charge and also usb stations. They load you up with extra towels and the kitchen is stocked with all you need to cook or prep. The Free morning breakfast was the VERY BEST we've had at such an establishment and that's due to Tameka who is a GREAT hostess! Seriously, these folks understand hospitality! Thanks also to Doris up front, they were all wonderful!

The hotel is a bit tired. Front desk staff is super friendly but the furniture in the rooms, hallways are tired and a bit threadbare. The breakfast room is teeny tiny and was packed with people so didn’t eat there. Price is right but probably will find a different hotel next time.

The rooms are clean, the kitchen has adequate utensils for cooking and the gas grill was clean, ready to use. The bed and sofa bed were both comfortable. The room has black out curtains for sleeping late. We had a guaranteed reservation for a handicapped accessible, roll in shower room. We were provided a mobility accessible room with grab bars. When I brought this to Sara's attention, she apologized and said that was not what came thru on her end. She stated that she could move us the following day. I told her we could make do if we could have a bath bench. While she didn’t have a bath bench available, she said that she would buy one and have it available the following day and she did. Hot items on the breakfast bar changed daily. There were eggs, egg soufflé, omelets, bacon, sausage, turkey bacon , turkey sausage, as well as, waffles, grits, bagels, muffins and fruit available. The real pleasure at breakfast was Tameka. With a smile on her face, she greeted everyone. If you’re lucky, she will share with you her hand written suggestions for Savannah. It includes tips on parking, attractions, restaurants and beaches. While having a clean, comfortable room is why I choose a hotel, people like Sara and Tameka are what give the stay a ray of sunshine.

Exceeded my expectations. I wasn’t expecting too much given reviews I had read but the hotel was clean, quiet and well maintained. Every single member of the staff was so friendly! I have stayed in many Marriotts in my life, and honestly this was the nicest staff I have ever encountered. Very accommodating and wanting to make sure you had the best stay possible. I highly recommend.
