This hotel is decrepit and should not be part of the W hotel chain. It's worse than a one star. The staff is not nice or helpful, treated me badly despite my Marriott status level. Front Desk staff, very young and inexperienced, insisted on looking at the name on my card because "I did not look like I should have a Platinum Card." WTF? There is black MOLD in the shower, so gross. Rooms are terribly laid out - door to the room opens directly into the shower with no privacy. The shower is see through into the toilet area and room with no privacy! In addition, the rooms are not soundproof so you hear every single noise. I was on the 9th floor and got woken up multiple times by elevator noise, then again by LOUD drag racing on the streets outside. It was like staying in the ghetto. Do not recommend and will not stay there ever again.

From the moment I arrived, the team at W Atlanta delivered an experience beyond anything I could have expected. Every detail was thoughtfully managed, and I never once had to ask for anything—my needs were anticipated at every turn. It’s rare to find a hotel where every department shines, but from Housekeeping to Banquets, F&B to Front Office, every single staff member treated me like a guest in their own home. Their level of hospitality is nothing short of BOLD! I’ve traveled all over the world, and this was truly one of the most seamless and memorable stays I’ve had. Kudos to the entire team for setting the bar so high!

We recently stayed at The W, and our experience was nothing short of amazing, thanks largely to the incredible customer service we received from Rita and her team. We encountered some issues with our booking, which initially left us feeling quite frustrated. However, Rita went above and beyond to resolve the situation. She not only handled the problems with efficiency but also made sure that our stay was as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Her personal touch and dedication to ensuring our satisfaction truly stood out. Because of this, The W will forever hold a very special place in our hearts. We even find ourselves talking about how we can spot our room from the highway, reminiscing about the wonderful memories made there. We can't thank Rita and the team enough for turning what could have been a stressful experience into something we'll never forget. We're already looking forward to our next stay!

I will preface this review with…I average 60-70 nights per year in hotels. I travel a lot for work. I don’t require fancy, but I do require clean. This is my first time staying at the W Atlanta, and it will be my last. There are many other properties in the area that offer far better experience I stayed in a basic 2 bed room and it was one of the dirtiest rooms I have stayed in. Please see pictures for reference. There were large green stains on the carpet, gouges and physical dirt the furniture, caked dirt on the baseboards and corners, and dirt on the bathroom walls If you are looking for a 4 start hotel in Atlanta, this is not that

We stay at Marriotts all the time. We have also stayed at W Hotels so we gave this property a try. Definitely not the same standards of the W Hotels in other cities. Our first day we spent several hours off property. Came back to find our room was not serviced. There were other rooms in our hallway that were serviced but not our room. We complained and went back out and were assured it would be taken care of. A few hours later it was finally serviced by 9pm! We were assured that it would not happen moving forward. The next day the same exact thing happened. The hotel is definitely understaffed and overwhelmed. The restaurant off the lobby was not prepared to handle a breakfast rush the first morning but slightly better the second morning. The staff all seemed very overwhelmed. The walk up counter in the restaurant had the rudest counter person. You don't have many options to grab a quick bite because truthfully it is not the safest area! When you ask the front desk where you can grab breakfast they don't know the local area. Do not walk around after dark! It's not the safest area. About the pool area: there is no staff up by the pool. Not once for three days did I see anyone at The Wet Bar to accommodate guests. The phone at the Wet Bar that is available to request a drink to be brought up to you just rang and was never answered. You are on the 16th floor with no access to food or drink outside of a water cooler. Marriott/W Hotels totally missed the mark with this property. Poorly staffed and poorly trained staff. Definitely not the hospitality I expect from a hotel.
