TRYP by Wyndham Tallahassee North I 10 Capital Circle

I’m not a Wyndham customer and didn’t book it, but this hotel seems to be a low cost brand under the Wyndham umbrella. The common areas, especially the patio, were nice. Breakfast was decent. The rooms were no frills, and could use some rejuvenation, particularly the bathrooms. Plumbing seemed to be an issue throughout the hotel, and parking can be an issue.

Do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else. Pink growth on shower heads, hallway smells of mildew, hair in shower and makeup stains on wall from previous guest still in bathroom. Carpets were stained and torn, water stains on ceilings in room - I slept with the lights on and when I got home I refused to unpack for three days to ensure whatever came home with me wasn't around anymore before I put it in the wash and unpacked. Great business trip, though.

I stayed two nights. I chose the larger room, and loved having a full sized refrigerator in the room! The room was very comfortable, the location is safe, and the hotel is convenient to many things in Tally. I appreciate that the place is dog-friendly. (I brought my well-behaved dog with me.) I had some issues with housekeeping and with the behavior of other dogs on the property on my first day. I spoke with the clerk at the front desk and sent an email to the owner and the manager; those issues were resolved by the next morning. Overall, I believe it is a good value, and despite the "issues" I had, I will likely return. I'm hoping the owner/manager/ and housekeeping will be more attentive to those issues in the future.

Quick stay-1 night. King bed was clean and comfy. Room was spacious enough for our needs. Some things (shower head, bathroom fan and AC) could use an upgrade or at least maintenance. Staff are super friendly, lobby is nice. One of the 2 elevators was not in service and the other had tape on the floor? (Marking rough areas?) Location kind of hidden away which was nice.

Beds were very comfortable and clean which is what we needed as we came dragging in at 12:30 am with a 3 yo and a 1 yo. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful both times I talked with them. Unfortunately, the toilet bowl wasn’t the cleanest, although the seat, etc. that you actually touch was clean. When I mentioned it to staff, they were sympathetic and offered to rectify it. The bathroom construction wasn’t finished the best (not the nicest to look at) but that doesn’t affect functionality much except for the fact that the bathroom door didn’t latch or lock. If we passed back through the area, I would still stay again since the most important boxes were checked, but it would’ve been nice to see a little more attention to detail.
