Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. Petersburg Madeira Beach an IHG Hotel

The primary visit to this area was because we were attending a friends wedding nearby, so after a lot of research of hotels in the area this hotel kept coming up, so went ahead and booked it, and it’s fair to say that we didn’t regret it at all! Little bit of confusion upon check in which had no impact on us whatsoever and had the receptionist not apologised we would have been none the wiser. We were also pleasantly surprised that breakfast was included with our stay as we had been informed by our travel agent that it was room only. Lovely clean and spacious room, actually all amenities were all really well maintained, not a single complaint at all. I was concerned that they were doing some decorating outside our room, but were very considerate and didn’t disturb us at all. Plenty of choices for breakfast so given we weren’t expecting it, it was very welcome, and absolutely delicious (especially the turkey sausages with pancakes!) my only slight criticism would be the paper plates and plastic cutlery. And finally the hospitality was outstanding, every single person we spoke to was really welcoming and helpful, it would be unfair to give specific names as everyone was great and we didn’t catch all their names. The little shuttle bus was also great, we could go anywhere within a 5 mile radius and arrange a pickup pretty much every hour, which was just brilliant! I’ve stayed in a lot of Holiday Inns and by far this excels all of them, so a big pat on the back to a great team! We’ll definitely be back!

We were booked to stay in the cambria at maderia Beach, but I got a call from Expedia 2 days prior to our holiday to say they wouldn't honour the booking. No explanation was given. We were offered the holiday inn express and I'm so glad we accepted. We enjoyed every second of our stay. From the minute we were warmly greeted at reception by silas and Robert it felt right. I had an accessible room and it was perfect. The hotel is perfect for anyone with mobility issues. Even the pool has walk in steps. The complementary breakfast was more than adequate and hot drinks are available all day plus the room has a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The hotel is a little out of the way, but the shuttle bus runs every hour until 9pm, they will take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius and collect you. Also it has a back lift and can take a wheelchair or mobility scooter so you can get around easily. The car park is shared with a huge walmart and there are a few places to eat within a short distance. The most special part of the hotel is the staff, manager lizzy, I think was her name who found a scooter hire shop for me. Silas, Robert, Emily,Dee, kevin to name but a few. Every staff member was a credit to the holiday inn brand and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel . ❤️

We always stay when possible at Holiday Inns due to the accommodations. Do NOT stay in room 404- it is full of bed bugs. We awoke in the middle of the night to bed bug bites and easily found multiple infestations which if housekeeping were trained they would have identified. Needless to say we did not have plans of waking up at 4:00 AM.

One of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in. I wiped on everything with Clorox wipes when I travel and not a spec was on a single one. And I wiped down every surface in the room. The beds were comfortable with a variety of pillows. I like the fact that the TV is on a swivel mount so you can easily see it from the couch and either bed. I was on the 5th floor on the water was hot within 30 seconds. Also had excellence water pressure. And a big thank you to Silas at the front desk. He did a wonderful job of accommodating all of my requests. Always had a smile and friendly greeting not only for me but every guest that I saw him interacting with.

This is a top notch hotel.I am a travel agent and that title does not come lightly. Professional and friendly staff, great hot breakfast including chocolate donuts, and clean spotless rooms. Hotel has transportation to John's Pass and the beach, "TIP THE DRIVER", and walking distance to restaurants and WALMART. Big thumbs up. Save money stay here, no parking fees, resort fees and expensive rates
