My husband and I stayed for two nights recently and we had a wonderful time. The staff, especially the parking valets and restaurant waiters were friendly and on top of things. The food was delicious. The front desk staff were slightly aloof but not overly so. The hotel itself, recently renovated, is beautiful (especially the pool area) and our room was lovely. The hotel had sun umbrellas and chairs on the beach and the valet made sure that we knew where the pedestrian crossing was and the location of the umbrellas. We would definitely return.

I was at the Hotel Zamora for a long weekend. I had heard that the hotel changed ownership. I was very impressed with the overall vibe of the hotel. I felt like I was living inside a high-end art gallery. Very well designed. Highly recommend of you like hip hotels.

My daughter was married at Zamora. It is a BEAUTIFUL Venue, however it is so poorly run I would never be back or recommend anyone to visit. Let me say I have already discussed my concerns with Gilbert, who tried to gaslight me into thinking my issues were not valid because the actual wedding was a success. He offered my daughter a $100. voucher at their restaurant for our troubles No need for another call Gilbert or Haley. The hotel is SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED. We paid thousands of $ to hold the wedding here, and also paid $600 a night to stay. We were promised that the bride and groom would have an oceanfront or balcony room included in their wedding package. That was far from the truth, they were put in a room one room away from her parents facing a building for their wedding night. When we asked for them to be moved we were told not possible, no rooms available. The new bridal dressing room is gorgeous but not what was promised in the planning. The employee turnover is so high that the wedding coordinators tell the couple one thing then they are gone, on to the next coordinator and the next, no one knows what the previous coordinator has promised the couple. That being said, the front desk was often not staffed, the valets were understaffed, with cars lined up onto the road, when we tried to retrieve our car the valet asked us to get it ourselves. I asked one valet if he could help me with my bags. He said he was not allowed to leave the garage as there was no one else there. At one point the girl parking the cars said that wasn't her normal job, but no one else to do it. She was on the verge of tears from the overwhelming situation, we thought she was going to quit. Service at the restaurant was slow, minimal servers and supposedly one cook. Gilbert denies this but spend any time there and read the reviews and you will know its the truth. Disappointing such a beautiful venue is run so poorly. They now have influencers posting all over social media how great it is, yet the customers (especially high dollar wedding) are left to figure it out yourselves. It makes us so mad to pay all that money and to be treated so bad. Hampton inn is run far better than Zamora.

We stayed 2 nights for an on site wedding, staff was rude from the beginning. Young lady at front desk couldn't find my reservation even though I'd confirmed the week before. She finally found it under a name that was no where near close to mine. She was not courteous in any way. My daughter was staying with us on the pull out couch and there were no sheets. As we went to dinner I told the front desk young lady that we needed sheets for the sofa bed, when we returned the 'sheets' were sitting on the counter. At $600/night I expect housekeeping to put the 'sheets' on. And by 'sheets' I mean a top sheet and an itchy blanket. The bar tenders we not attentive, and when we payed our $60 bill with a $100 bill the male bar tender said, " I'm not a bank back here." The wedding was scheduled to be roof top but weather did not permit that, so all festivities were moved inside. This hotel is not conducive to inside hotel, all spaces too small and interrupt guests who are not part of the wedding. Also, no dresser drawers in the room if you like to unpack. Food was good, bed was comfortable.

This review is for the hotel owners: I live down the street from Hotel Zamora and often use the hotel as overflow for guests. We just moved back into our home after rebuilding our home due to the fall hurricanes that decimated our area. We can literally see Hotel Zamora twindling at night from our front door. My nephew and his fiancee booked and stayed at the hotel Feb 27 out Feb 29. On Feb 26 I went to the hotel around 9am to see if I could upgrade them. I had checked the hotel inventory and it was low as well as the room type I wanted which was back of hotel with balcony overlooking McPherson Bayou. Rooms were wide open night before. I explained that I was a neighbor and we frequented the hotel restaurant and often used hotel for overflow, would you be so kind to upgrade my nephew and his fiancee? Unfortunately the front desk was not empowered to do so, which I understand to a point as the hotel is small with under 70 rooms. Asked to speak to Front Desk Manager or General Manager however no one was at hotel yet so the very nice front desk associate took my name and number and assured someone would call me. No phone call. On Thursday Feb 27 day of check in and I accompanied my nephew and his fiancee to check in around 4pm and again went through who we were etc.... can you kindly upgrade as rooms are still wide open. Desk associate again not empowered to do so. May I speak to the General Manager or Front Desk Manager, no can do as no one here. But she did text a manager who offered an upgrade for $60.00 per night, $135.00 in total with tax on a vacant room that would have cost the hotel nothing in lost revenue and would have gained them good will and future business. Asked to speak to the General Manager who again was not there and asked for a phone call to no avail. So I paid the upgrade fee. Please note the hotel just renovated the rooms and lobby and while the guest rooms are lovely and a study in understated elegance the lobby was transformed from a luxury Spanish boutique hotel feel replete with rustic travertine floors and oversize wrought iron chandeliers to a generic Holiday Inn Express feel. In fact the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express in Sanford, Fl where where we evacuated to during the storms was much nicer and more welcoming. I digress... back to Hotel Zamora guest experience. No one working at the hotel seemed happy or interested in having guests. Getting service at the newly renovated restaurant for morning coffee or breakfast required a wait of 20 minutes, then they just abandoned ship. No one said hello, pool bar or roof bar not open...getting hand soap filled in room took 2 days. That being said, I do not blame the employees, they get their direction or rather lack of by the non-existent management. In summary, we will no longer bring our guests to your hotel or come for breakfast, lunch or dinner ourselves which we frequently did. With regard to rebranding your restaurant from Castile to Azure Coastal Fare, one would think the hotel would reach out to all of their neighbors, especially those of us in walking distance to, I don't know, maybe cultivate a local clientele? In closing, I can also see the magnificent Pink Palace called the Don Cesar from my back window, which is were my guests will stay, where we will walk to and have lunch and were my nephew and did I mention his fiancee enough when interacting with the Hotel Zamora, will look at when they get married on the beach in a year or so.
