Marnie was so welcoming and made me feel at home. That set the tone for my too short stay. Don’t let her unassuming demeanor fool you, she’s Wonder Woman. Deck, restaurant/bar were very comfortable with great inexpensive food and beverages. Jemini did an outstanding job serving, so attentive. Room very comfortable, lovely to have windows open letting in lake breeze. Seating areas throughout the lodge were very comfortable. Great place for my fur baby too. Thanks again Marnie for your hospitality!

Beautiful located near lake with gorgeous view of the lake. Rooms are ok. Food is great and the owner/ manager very friendly. Great for weddings or large gathering. They have a concert this coming week. Loved it

We checked in for two day and Marnie was so super cool let us check in early then we had a problem with the A/C and she moved us to a family suite, which we felt bad about, she works hard around the place helping guest and doing all the housekeeping etc I'm not too sure if she is appreciated enough but my family appreciate her and all she does to make people happy, Thanks Marnie we will be back and if I can get my four kids and their kids to show up for family vacation this is where I want it to be.

Despite the good reviews, be aware that the rooms are not overlooking the beautiful lake. There are only 5 rooms total with a view of a parking lot, and four of those rooms are up a staircase with no elevator. The beds are coil spring and will make sleeping impossible, apparently there is no maid service once you check in as we were there 3 nights with no one in sight. There was no satellite tv service despite a big tv in the room. The morning we left the hotel, the bathtub spewed out dark brown water, we wanted to discuss it with someone but everything was shut down, no one on site to even talk to, no coffee in the "breakfast" area nor anyone at all on the premises. It was very strange. Sunday night, the bar/restaurant area shut down very early and we were told that the decks were closed to customers, even though we were the only four staying at the hotel, we had no where to even enjoy the sunset, even though all the employees were out on the deck enjoying themselves. We ended up trying to watch the beautiful sunset on the lake on an upper deck which was open, in the foyer by the hotel rooms. After a few minutes sitting on the very dark deck, we realized that there was dog poop everywhere on this upper deck! The employees knew we were up there and must have thought it funny not to warn us that the hotel dog on the premises relieves himself there, and this must have been often as it was covered in old dried poop! Apparently, they just really didn't care at all about the customers staying in the deteriorated rooms and walking in dog poop once the credit card was run. The only redeeming feature was the bar area which was fun, nice and attended to with good appetizers and a sweet waitress. The hotel was a total disaster and the dog poop on the deck was a scene out of a nightmare! The lack of care or concern whatsoever of our experience at their hotel was very, very disappointing. My guess is the ownership is on exit clause, go elsewhere to stay, just have a drink in the bar and watch the beautiful sunset, if they let you!

Hidden Gem a few miles Northwest Of Aberdeen on Richmond Lake. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean. Attached restuarant and bar had great food and prices. Staff were very friendly, look forward to coming back in the winter to sit on the deck and enjoy the lake. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
