The place was well situated on the seafront, the room was fairly clean and had everything we needed. The downside was there was no correspondence to notify us of: 1. The pool being closed/drained so out of use 2. Workers being on site (presumably working on the pool) who not only were incredibly loud but started work seemingly early as we were woken up by the hammering and drilling directly outside our room around 7:30am - again there was zero mention upon check in that this was going to happen otherwise we would have booked elsewhere 3. We were issued a voucher (as all guest are) for the bar & grill that had been temporarily closed - no mention of this either

We showed up here on a spur of the moment trip for New years Eve. Go to their website and book the room to save a few dollars. It's an older hotel that's been upgraded. We had a king room with an ocean view. The windows are huge and the room nice for the price.

This hotel epitomizes split personality. Sadly, the rude and condescending manners of some of the staff greatly overshadows the excellence of others. Despite having a maintenance man in my room for a repair, I was informed by the front desk that I had not made any complaints about my room. Had I not complained, the repair would not have been being addressed. Since the replacement parts were not available, despite my complaints of banging noise the night before, I was assigned an adjacent room. I was awakened several times by the banging. No apology was offered. The room I was moved to had a large dying roach in it. A pleasant staff member explained that it was probably due to recent spraying. I moved the slowly squirming insect to the dresser and proceeded with the switch. Minutes later, two members of the housekeeping team showed up and impatiently stood by watching as I moved my belongings, they offered no assistance. Upon answering a walkie-talkie call, one moved to the dresser where I had put the large roach and flicked it out the door. She then reported that it had been “taken care of”. There was no eye contact, no apology for inconvenience, no offer of assistance..only an air of disgust at my complaints. There was no management on call that evening (10/23/2024). Feeling deeply disturbed by the attitudes and events of the prior day, on Thursday the 24th I spoke with Amy, the manager on duty. She was kind, understanding, and apologetic. She gave me $30 in beach bucks to cover dinner at the hotel that night and said that she was going to speak with the property manager about comping some time for the negative experiences. When I didn’t hear back from her on Friday, I reached out and she told me that the property manager wouldn’t be in until the next day. She said that she would get back to me on Saturday. I was due to check out on Sunday but had adjusted my schedule to stay an extra day. When I didn’t hear back from her by 5:20 Saturday evening, I called the front desk and was told that she had been off the entire day. I never heard from Amy again. Oceaia at the front desk, Michael the maintenance man, Josh the bartender, Shelby in housekeeping, and Stacey from the kitchen are a AMAZING assets to this location. I thought Amy was too, but given her outright lie, I was wrong. My last day there, I killed a very small roach as it traveled spunkily across my bathroom floor. This roach looked like a baby and was definitely not in the process of dying. Those were the only two roaches that I saw during my stay.

This place is horrible. Made this reservation through Agoda. Horrible experience all around. I called after booking to confirm a double bed and told them that I would be traveling at night and would arrive early in the morning around 5 am. I arrived about 6 am and checked in. By 630 I was checking out. When you first open the door to the room the bathroom is right there at an angle to the point you almost walk in to it once entering the room. The pictures on the site are as old as the hotel is cause it looks nothing like. The mini fridge was leaking and there was a puddle of water from it going under one of the beds. The floor was stained to the point it had been there for days. There was mold in the bathroom. There was hair on the bed. There was what looked like snot on the walls. When checking out I was told I had to go through Agoda to get a refund. They had me send pictures of the accommodations and even a receipt at hotel I ultimately did stay at. I did all that. Then the runaround starts. Both sayin the other has my money and then they offer me a refund of 1 day as only booked the other hotel for a day. The Hilton Homewood where I stayed was kind enough to waive the early checkin as I was there by 7 and had been driving all day. Don’t stay in this dump. The Hilton had a large suite with a full kitchen. Friendly staff and excellent all the way around.

Start of vacation was today. Was super excited to check into hotel room and get ready for a day of fun. Within 5 minutes of entering our room we noticed the floor has sand all over, the room smelled moldy to the extreme and was clearly trying to be covered up with air freshener which made it worse, there seems to appear to be a red smear of some kind on the outer bedsheets near the pillows on one of the beds and close to bathroom wall (photos have been taken for proof), and the bedsheet you sleep on.....mine has sand all over it, yet the bed was made as if to appear to have had the bed sheets changed. Clearly they were not. The TV channels are all super fuzzy and can't see what your watching. I will never be staying at this hotel again. Unacceptable. Rather go out and sleep in my car.
