Sleep Inn Ormond Beach Daytona

It’s a 1. The help is great. But the breakfast is the same every day for 6 days we have been here. Brown bananas, hard biscuits, sausage gravy which I wouldn’t touch. We are buying our breakfast at the grocery store and eating that. The air conditioning in the dining area is warm. Weeds out front door. No flowers? Shopping carts left in the parking area. Housekeeping you have to beg for.

I booked a reservation for my daughter and her husband for a couple of days. They went up to the room, walked in and immediately checked out. The carpet was extremely soiled and stink/sticky and room had a disgusting smell/old smell that almost made her throw up. Get this: When I got my bill, they charged my card, for 2 days, $816.00. The rooms were only $71 a night. The charge should'v been $0.00. The hotel needs a complete overhaul. You have to be really desperate to check-in at the Sleep Inn in Ormond Beach, FL. Very disappointing.

We stayed for one night to be close to the beach, about 15 minutes from a good beach. It did take some driving on A1A to find somewhere to park and walk to the beach, but the beach was nice, which was the main reason for coming. Once back in the hotel, the room had a good-sized smart TV, so we could use our favorite streaming app and watch what we wanted. The bed was not very comfortable, the pillows were square and small, but they were more comfortable than the bed. The room and hallway carpets were dirty, two minutes with shoes off and my white socks will never be white again. Worse, was the odor in the hallway; the hotel is 100% smoke-free, but the hallway smelled like someone had been smoking weed and the odor was there the whole time we were there. The parking lot and grounds are covered in trash. I would not stay here again.
