Service Dog handlers beware: they are illegally requiring "paperwork" showing that you have a registered service dog. Per ADA there is no such thing and to require something that doesn't exist is illegal. I tried educating on what they were allowed to ask but it was per the GM of the hotel that this policy is in place because of fake service dogs. A DOJ complaint has already been filed.

FUNKY ROOM 227! Although advertising as a non smoking hotel, the rooms reak of old smoke and the combination of nasty carpet and curtains smelled like someone smoking on the toilet in the middle of the room. TERRIBLE PILLOWS were lumpy as all get out and not even shaped like a rectangle anymore. Trash em! AND THEY HAVE ROACHES! A full grown one crawled from behind the TV as soon as we placed something on the dresser. Thus we just put our luggage in the bathtub. We didn't sleep at all because of the smell and fear of taking roaches home with us & got our of there before dawn, without the included breakfast. If we weren't so tired from driving all day & could've gotten a refund after such a late check-in, we would've turned around as soon as the funk hit us at the door to the room.

The room was clean but pretty much bare linens were okay half a roller toilet paper and that was it standard crap hotel. Granted it was really cheap 62 bucks all in however what pissed me off was the fact that breakfast does not open until 9:00 and when it does there's three kinds of cereal a little bit of milk and some coffee that's what they call breakfast. The office is locked until 9:30 which is where the buffet is so there's no food before that absolutely deceptive and reprehensible. Yeah I don't really care that much about the breakfast but I do find it annoying that deliberately keep the place locked to minimize personnel there's literally nobody here in the office they give you a phone number on the door that you can call if you need help.

Aka the roach motel. Don't be fooled by the outside, it's nice but the rooms are musty and moldy. At least that's what we ended up with.I have to admit the price is decent and the location is good for bike events but that's all. It's not that close to the beach.

We have stayed at this hotel before during Bike Week. We made reservation in August 2023 for March 1st and 2nd, 2024.2024 for $207.40. Around mid February 2024 I was on Choice website and noticed that it showed our reservation was cancelled. I called the 1-800 number and advised the fellow I had not cancelled that reservation. He went in and checked and advised the General Manager at the hotel had cancelled the reservation along with several others and all he could do was re-book me at $866.00. When I tried to call Front Desk at the hotel, the line disconnects. They cancelled that original reservation and sent us no notification. I use happened to notice it on the Choice website. Wondering how many showed up with confirmed reservations to find same situation. I knew in August 2023 when Bike Week was and Econo should have been quoting their rates accordingly. Stayed elsewhere and booked next year elsewhere. Poor management behaviour in my opinion.
