Cleanliness: very clean and well kept Sleep Quality: comfortable beds/mattresses Amenities: The room with balcony: balconies are very small and do not have chairs to sit outside. Just enough to stand. Very close to the adjacent balconies(no privacy). All facing the pools/slides and the lack. So, very noisy especially on low floors. Room size for two queen beds are sufficient. The bathroom small, with very low shower pressure (I guess on the 20th floor, the pressure declined). AC works fine and low noise. Staff/Service: other than those annoying lobby sales associates, all are fine Property/Facilities: beautiful well maintained. Perfect for kids. The pools and slides are amazing. For families/couples without kids, it is extremely noisy, but adults to use the pool at the next door attached Ritz-Carlton was excellent option. The restaurants are subpar and below the level of this hotel category (although Primo restaurant was acclaimed as Michelin designated establishment, truly it is not). I wrote separate detailed review about Primo for dinner and Citron for breakfast Location: very convenient away from the busy Disney resorts area Value: you pay for the name. Overall rating! 4 out of five Recommendations: OK for comfort and for families with kids.

Lifetime Marriott Titanium Elite member's first time staying at this JW Marriott. Beautiful property and what we thought was a good alternative due to the waterslides, lazy river and pool area versus staying within Disney. We have 3 children (7, 2 & 1) and rented cabanas in advance of our stay (good feature, but not cheap) to ensure we had a place for all the stuff that comes with having 3 kids at their respective ages and also so I could get work done each day (power outlets & shade). This hotel has sporadic security at the entrance to the pool area on random days (2 days out of 5 for our stay) and they ask to see your wrist band that you have to go back and get at the front desk to ensure you are a registered guest at the hotel (wasn't given or told about this at check-in) and they also search your bags - no problem, this makes me feel good about the kids having a safe & fun time at the expansive pool area (if your kids are a tad older you will lose sight of them due to the river and landscape). We checked into the pool area around 9-10am each day and the 2 days security were there they were somewhat thorough, but as the day progressed it was clear they were more relaxed, and I noticed many people without wristbands that my family were made to wear. Around 3-4pm on our last day we noticed a group of people starting to hang out on the chairs right outside our cabana and they had no wrist bands or towels (writing this in hindsight obviously, re: no towels). As we're sitting in our cabana one person from the group comes up to us and asks if they can charge their phone. My wife and I said, sure no problem (we're nice people). Person 1 plugs in their phone and goes back to their group. A short time later my wife takes our 7 y/o to the waterslides and the grandparents take the two younger kids on the lazy river so I could get some work done before the end of the business day. During this time another 5 or 6 people from the group came into the cabana while on was on work calls, plugged their phones in and started standing in the cabana using (texting) their phones while plugged in. When I got off my call two of them asked me to watch their "stuff" for them (placed two bags in my cabana) at which point I clearly said no - I am not responsible for your stuff, and all I said was that your friend could charge a phone. I said this in a way that cleared them out of the cabana, but they still had 5 phones plugged in. I was planning to join the grandparents and my 2 younger children in the lazy river, but ovioulsy couldn't do that at this point as we had all our belongings (phones, computer, ipad, cash, etc) in the cabana and my trust level was obviously gone at this time. As I'm sitting on the cabana couch waiting for my family to return another person from the group walks in, sits down in the chair, plugs their phone in and makes a phone call that was clearly about some sort of illegal activity including references to physical activity and money being exchanged. At this point I start videoing her as evidence and about a minute later when she realized I was recording her she immediately got up and left. A couple minutes later the grandparents, after seeing the people not in the cabana anymore (they were watching and waiting from the lazy river, which I learned after the fact) came back with our 2 younger children and I immediately sent them up to the room. The waiter, who hadn't come by since this all started, came by for last call and the check. I obviously told him what was going on and that I would be going to management. He apologized, said he thought they were with me (they were clearly not with us by anyone waiting on us all day like he was) and since I was able to leave after paying the check I hauled all our stuff out and left. My wife and 7 y/o were finishing at the waterslides, but I had to leave at this point to help with the younger kids. When my wife returned the cabana (she didn't know I left/what happened) the whole group was in the cabana, even though the waiter told me they wouldn't be becuase the cabana's close at 6PM, this was 6:15. Truly amazing, but not the point of this review whatsoever - procced to bottom for my concern of your children. After bringing all our stuff to the room and helping with the kids I went down to the front desk and met with the manager on duty and also some members from security. To summarize, they the manager apologized and refunded our cabana fee for that day, one security person was skeptical of me and elduded to me inviting them into our cabana (which clearly upset me and I corrected him immediately) and the senior security officer, who came after the conversation started, was truly interested in knowing what happened, which was the only appropriate part of the hotel response. The senior security person admitted they have a problem with unregistered non-hotel locals coming into the property later in the day. I told them I had video of the situation, but for some reason they didn't want to see it. Makes you wonder. I also told them I assume they have cameras and they should see what happened for themselves. The point of I was trying to make to them and the point of this review is: If the people that are entering their expansive pool area are not just a group of local people "hanging out", but rather a sex offender or human trafficker they would obvioulsy have a BIG problem on their hands. Tons of children obviously. Bottom line is there are unknown and non-hotel people getting into this expansive pool area and illicit activity is happening. Please keep your children safe at the pool area of this hotel. There is no roaming security even though the hotel is aware of non-registered people entering and using the facility. We always watch our kids closely, but people with slightly older kids that go off with their siblings would be my biggest concern. Roaming sucurity should be standard for a hotel of this calibur. To note: We stay at the Marriott Stellaris in Aruba every January with our children and after what happened at this hotel in Orlando we feel our children are more safe at a hotel in a different country. Lastly and not overly important - Do not book the 2 bedroom "Family Suite" unless you want to have to pass through one bedroom to get to another. Clearly not described in the room description when booking directly on Marriott.com. Spent my first and last day at this hotel trying to fix things with hotel management (stressful) versus relaxing with my family. Obviously they will respond to this review with an apology and explanation, but until they correct this serious issue watch your children closely (have roaming security like other hotels with smaller pool areas than this). This is not my opinion, this is factual.

Our stay at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes Orlando was incredible from start to finish. The property is stunningābeautifully maintained with lush grounds, a relaxing lazy river, and plenty of family-friendly amenities. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with lovely views. What really stood out was the serviceāevery staff member we interacted with was warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Dining options on-site were also fantastic, with something for everyone, from casual bites to elevated meals. Itās the perfect mix of luxury and comfort, whether youāre visiting for a family vacation or a relaxing getaway. We canāt wait to come back!

The amenities are nice, but the house keeping needs to reiterate themselves and how they work. We stayed for 4 nights total. The first day house keeping came and made the room look nice and clean, replenish towels etc. The second day, I saw house keeping was cleaning on the floor in other rooms, I figured theyāll clean the room I was staying in eventually, however that didnāt happen, then they came when we were in the room asking if it needs to be cleaned. By then it was already pass 9pm. The third day, same thing as the second day, only difference is a house keeper came while we were in the room asking if they can come back to clean and I told her yes 6pm. And guess what that never happened. I feel like we were being gaslighted the entire time second day onwards. They never intended to clean but they kept checking in at random times just to make it seem like they care or theyāre doing their jobs. Iām pretty sure they came into the room when we were out in the morning to potentially check if we left any tip or not. And if we didnāt, then out the door they go. Itās pretty disappointing for a 4.5 star resort with $$$$ to have this kind of service. Whoever is managing needs to be fired or a new system needs to be in-placed. Iāve stayed at multiple resorts/hotels in the past, this is by far the worst experience in terms of house keeping.

Jennifer (Concierge) at the Marriott in Orlando was absolutely fantastic! She helped us secure our Disney World tickets and gave us invaluable advice on how to plan our visit to make the most of our time. Her knowledge of the parks, attractions, and best strategies for navigating Disney made our trip so much smoother. She was friendly, patient, and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience. Highly recommend seeking her out if you need help with your travel plans! A huge shoutout to William, Nate, and Dara ( Bartenders) at the Marriott bar for making our evenings so much fun! Their energy, great conversation, and expert drink-making skills made every visit a highlight of our trip. They created a welcoming and lively atmosphere, making us feel right at home while enjoying fantastic cocktails. Whether it was recommending the perfect drink or just sharing a laugh, they truly made our stay memorable. Canāt wait to visit again!
