Homewood Suites by Hilton Lake Buena Vista Orlando

*There were roaches in the kitchen. See photo. *The privacy door lock had been removed from the door jamb. Photo *We had to shower in another room (6 floors away) to get hot water bc our shower valve was broken. Photo Couldn't switch rooms bc had to be near our student rooms. This took a lot of time from our get-ready routine. *The phone was broken. Couldn't called the kids' rooms. *The elevators were the slowest I've ever seen. Kids took the stairs to 7 and beat us every time. *There was no tray in the coffee maker so couldn't brew coffee. Photo IMO, this property needs attention. On a good note, breakfast was hot and tasty and the staff was pleasant.

Deasia at the front desk provided exceptional service—she was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s remarkable how much of a difference someone like Deasia can make in ensuring a wonderful experience.

I had some concerns after some of the reviews but enjoyed our stay. Oskar is an asset at the front desk. Very welcoming and helpful. There were many choices for the breakfast and a spacious seating area. The social hour one night is a nice touch. It had wine and beer but would be nice to have some soda for the non-drinkers. Surprised, being in Florida they didn’t have orange juice at breakfast. I had to request dish detergent and a sponge for the kitchen area. The light in the refrigerator didn’t work. I reported it but it was never fixed the 3 nights we were there. One thing that would keep me coming back was the almost $90 parking fee. I believe all the hotels in the area charge it so I would choose to stay in another area.

Cons- We had a few issues where digital card not working. One elevator didn’t seem to be operating and ice machine on our floor was not working, they have a problem it seems with HOT. The hot tub wasn’t hot. The shower water could have been hotter and once the coffee on the lobby wasn’t hot. Didn’t quit meet the standards of there other properties. We had to ask for more washcloths as there wasn’t enough for each guests. Beds were ok. Pros- clean room, lobby and dining area. Full size refrigerator. Nice size Tv in both rooms. Heating system was working properly. Very quiet environment. Desk clerks were very friendly, accommodating and professional.
