Floridays Resort Orlando

Really enjoyed our stay at Floridays. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious and cleaned to a high standard, both upon our arrival and part way through our stay. Toiletries and kitchen/cleaning supplies was a nice touch. Beds comfortable, a peaceful sleep every night. Loved the pool area, plenty of space and a nice atmosphere. Bar and cafe good too. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Great location and lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

We just got back from 2 weeks here. The hotel itself is lovely, the pool is great and we always managed to get sunbeds even after a day at the parks when we came back to cool down. The rooms are spacious, we had a 2 bedroom unit which was perfect for us. Beds were really comfy and the rooms had everything we needed including a kettle (which didn’t come as standard but was provided by staff when we asked about it). The room wasn’t as clean as we had hoped and the floors will turn your feet/socks black if you don’t wear sliders indoors. The hot tub I only used once as when I did use it, as soon as the jets were turned on, they pumped out hundreds of other people’s hairs into the bath which was enough to put me off getting in. Lamps were all dusty and I just felt it could have been so much nicer with a really good clean. We used the hotel as a base as we were out at parks all day pretty much every day and so it was fine for what we needed. The pool bar was great as was the cafe and arcade for the kids. The bus service each morning was free but it did start getting really busy the second week we were there and so I would recommend booking your place in the bus a couple of days in advance. 08:35 pick up for universal returning at 17:00 or 19:00 and 09:55 for magic kingdom (from there you can use the park transport to other parks), with a later 12:10 for Epcot. The earliest return bus from Magic Kingdom was 19:55 which we found felt late the more tired we became, so some days we would uber back which can become expensive. All in all we liked the hotel, there was room for improvement with cleanliness but staff were always lovely, helpful and friendly. The WiFi was hit and miss in the hotel but I think that’s because we were in the furthest block (block D). We had a great stay and always had a good nights sleep!

As with all my reviews, a list of pros and cons from our stay. Pros - central location on international drive and good choice of restaurants a short drive away - close to publix, we hired a car so easy to do our shopping, we spent a lot of time here! - 20 mins drive to Disney parks and universal- central to both - good swimming pool for kids - shuttle bus to Disney parks, we didn’t use this so can’t comment - rooms very spacious - plentiful supply of clean towels which can be requested easily from reception - we stayed in block C, short easy walk to pool and reception - washing machine and drier in room was handy, but felt my clothes came out a little cardboard feeling - easy to contact reception on the phone and usually very helpful - WiFi available in rooms and pool areas, sometimes slow at busy times Cons - smell of smoking weed around pool area was not great especially with children around - room only cleaned once every 4 days, not enough really, especially when cooking or eating in the apartment - room seemed dated and water pressure slow in sink taps and toilet - onsite eating facility and shop are too pricey, we avoided. - found lots of tiny flies in the shower which put me off, rooms are near a lake - tv in each room but not easy to navigate channels as no tv menu/ guide and unable to cast to the tv from my device

Mary Lou was very pleasant at the reception desk when we checked in. She gave us all the info we needed for our stay. She had a smile when she greeted us and seemed to know a lot about her job. The only recommendation I have is to keep the pool area cleaner from dirt so guests don’t track it everywhere and in the pool.

We had a great time as always at Floridays. The staff is super friendly and accommodating the 2 bedroom suite is very comfortable and spacious. I esspecially like the jacuzzi in the master bedroom. Floridays is conveniently located near seaworld, Disney World, and the other major theme parks. I plan to stay there every time I visit orlando.
