Aloft Orlando Lake Buena Vista

My stay here was fine but do be aware that they charge for parking and it is expensive! $27 a night to park at a hotel that is hardly a resort. This felt like a ripoff. I will not be returning due to this. The rooms are fairly roomy and comfortable. Close to a Target and some restaurants.

Very clean comfortable hotel. Staff were great, property was close to everything Disney related. Really enjoyed our stay. I wish I had more time in the area I would have gladly booked for multiple nights. The hotel was quiet from our room even though you could hear so much going on in the hallway. Very clean, nice bar, beautiful pool and gym.

The staff here make all the difference. Within a day of checking in they were all welcoming me by name- that’s attention to detail; and it continues throughout the whole property. Rooms are well maintained and stocked with lots of towels. The gym is huge and is very very clean. Location is ideal to be in the center of it all- outlets, International Drive….and Disney (if that’s your thing) . Had an issue with my first room (not hotel related, but neighbor). The staff went above and beyond to make sure a satisfactory room was found. I’ve never had such commitment to customer service. 1000% I would return to this property.

The first time I stayed here shortly after they opened a few years ago, they told me the dog fee and it was $40 for the entire stay. When I checked out, the fee became $400. They blamed me. Eventually, they refunded the $400. I only asked them to refund the difference l, but they refunded the total fee of $400. Recently, I called them to ask their current dog fee they said, now it was $40 for the first day and a total of $80 for the entire stay. The Marriott website for the location confirms what they said. Now, I am about to check out and they say the dog fee doesn’t include a separate cleaning fee, that they don’t tell the guests about. So, it is an additional $10 for the entire stay. Making the total $90. The website still says $40 for the first day $80 maximum fee. The person earlier today said the additional five dollars was for tax. The person this evening said the additional five dollars was the cleaning fee and I said so what’s the original $40 for? “for cleaning” he said. So you have a cleaning fee and then another separate cleaning fee on top of the cleaning fee that is undisclosed. He said that was correct. They can’t show me my current bill to even confirm that they’re charging me what they’re saying now. You know that I was screwed by this hotel in the past and you know I was going to ask them multiple times what their pet fee was, they simply do not know how to tell the truth at this hotel!!! This is the most dishonest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. They said they have completely new management since the last time I was here. Well, they may be under new management, but they are just as dishonest, as before. Also, in the elevator, it says that they have food at the bar(Tuesday through Saturdays I think), just like any other Aloft. At the front desk, they said there is no food at all at the bar. Again, another example of their dishonesty. Every other Aloft I have been to has been great. This includes the other Aloft properties in Orlando. So don’t take this as a review for all Aloft properties. This is just a bad one. For instance, The Aloft in Downtown Orlando has no dog fee at all and they always have burgers at the bar.

This is the first time we came to this hotel and the service and experience has been phenomenal! Our dogs also enjoyed it. We had some issues with our room and it was taken care of by Giovanni (dog lover!). He attended us with total respect and consideration (best customer service at Aloft!). Ali is sweet and very friendly with dogs. She also a dog lover and makes great old fashioneds (minus the bitters that weren’t in stock!). Anahi and Mell were great at accommodating our needs and extending our stay. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
