Riviera Hotel South Beach

Room was clean but had a moldy scent that triggered my allergies. Shower drained slowly. Great location in terms of its proximity to the Convention Center. Was able to walk to Sea Trade venue within 5 minutes. Property could do well with a refresh of the rooms and there was no telephones in the rooms.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights prior to a cruise and was delighted about the service, cleanliness and facilities. The staff were very helpful and resolved any requests we had quickly. An example was I couldn’t get the room safe to close and were in my room with within 3 minutes of reporting it. In my opinion the location is great and within walking distance of what we needed, beach, shopping, food outlets and the main strips. This hotel has many workers who all appear busy, cleaning and happy to attend to requests. The ground floor pool and area suited our needs, plenty of shade, comfortable seating and although the pool is comparatively small it’s great for a cool dip. Our travel agent booked this hotel for us so came to South Beach not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised about the hotel room and services. Our room was spacious, comfortable and suited our needs. We could even login to my Netflix account on the TV and watch a movie with the kids. Tip, if you want to go to the beach have a word with reception first, they have a kind of partnership with one of the beach chair companies which gets you a sizeable discount. If you’re on a budget the hotel can provide chairs and beach towels for free.

The hotel is so cute and the amenities are good. Staff is very friendly and amenable. It's very close to the beach, like 2 shirt blocks. Really good restaurants are very close by. They have a great courtyard, restaurant and roof top pool. We didn't use the pool but like the option. We took a lift once and walked everywhere. It is so convenient. I would b9ok this spot again when I return.

Arrived multiple hours early due to s very early flight. Got to hotel and they allowed us to leave our luggage (attended in lobby). We asked for early check in but rooms were not available yet (it was only 10 am and check in was not until 3pm). We were told we could hang out at the pool or bar if we liked. Called an Uber and went for lunch and to the beach which was only a 5 minute walk from hotel. When we returned to hotel at 1pm we were able to check in early and they waived the fee for us as well as upgraded us to a suite. Room was great free happy hour cocktail was nice. Overall experience was great but the bartenders at the hotel sucked. Would definitely return.

We had a very warm welcome and Ailibe did everything possible to make us happy! We enjoyed our balcony very much. The pools were great and the beach is only a short walk away. The hotel is very close to restaurants and shops. Towel racks left and right side from the sink plus a shelf for toilet bags would be helpful because the space around the sink is very limited.
