Notebook Miami Beach

My name is Denise, and I stayed at The Notebook Hotel from 04/04/25-04/07/25 through Expedia. I was assigned room #202, and from the moment I walked in, it was clear the room had not been cleaned at all. There were blood stains on the sheets, a strong moldy smell in the bathroom, grime and hair in the tub, and the sink barely worked. I immediately reported the issues to staff, but nothing was done to address them. Despite multiple complaints every day, no action was taken. I asked to switch rooms numerous times and staff stated the hotel was fully booked. I was forced to change the dirty sheets myself after being given fresh sheets by Tony, who was the only one who somewhat properly document my complaints. Other staff members Alexander and Christian just wrote things on envelopes or in group chats, completely unprofessional. Could you believe me asking for room service my entire stay they never came to clean the room, nor address any complaints. I was ignored by the management, who refused to speak with me directly, and I developed a severe rash due to the unsanitary conditions. The hotel’s negligence and the manager Rafael Sue have a complete disregard for guest safety and hygiene is shocking. I was offered a mere $68.40 refund by Rafael Sue, which is insulting. I will be taking further action, but I want to warn others to avoid this hotel at all costs. It’s a health hazard and a complete disgrace. Do not stay here!

Pros: Very close to the beach, entrance hall has armchairs, sofas and mirrors, low budget prices. Cons: Staff service was extremely rude and impatient, they seem to have no patience especially for foreigners, the room was dirty, ugly and old with everything poorly cleaned, the bathroom was usable but not comfortable or clean at all, keycards started to malfunction after a few days, dubious security.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Night staff was extremely rude, room was dirty, tv and internet did not work, hotel controlled temp in room and windows did not have screens for air, had to go to CVS to buy my own toilet paper, had a power outage so went hours with no power at all, paid $50 to park overnight. Thank goodness we only needed to stay one night!!!

Stay away from this place. I had reserved a room for 14 nights and when I arrived for check-in, they charged my card an extra 'resort fee' and $100 as security deposit. They refused to give me the resort fee back and they told me they would give me the $100 in 48 hours. Two weeks after checking out, no security fee was ever refunded. They run a scam, do not give them any of your credit cards! The hotel is old, very unfriendly staff, rooms are not cleaned for days, weird characters smoking and fighting on the hallways and the place is outright dangerous during weekend nights. I have contacted my lawyer to see how we can get my money back and the police of city of Miami has been notified for the theft of my money. You have been warned, stay away from this place... you will lose a lot of money to the scams they run with your credit cards..

There is no parking, check-in is at 4pm and checkout is 11am, so they take hours away from you. The room had damage to the shower, dirty room with items from the previous guest, the attention at reception terrible, in general it was a terrible experience.
