Hotel is located in a great location and the rooms were nice. Easy walk to a lot of good restaurants and easy access to the beach. Pool was small, service slow, hot tub filled with young kids eating popcorn which was kind of gross. I never used it. Beach was nice, they will charge you for an umbrella so when choosing your chairs, be careful there is not one already set up! Front desk was helpful in person but did not answer the phones. Only one working elevator (as mentioned in previous reviews) but I knew that going in so didn't find it that much of a bother. Price was much cheaper than other South Beach options so you pay for what you get. Valet personnel very nice and super helpful with bags.

Only having one working elevator for the past 12 months and lying about it being âfixed soonâ is unacceptable! Pool is overcrowded with tired furniture and front desk never answers the phone. Resort fee is high but still had to pay for umbrella while locals got charged less and front row seats. Location is the only plus. Do better Marriott.

Checked in last night.. Pretty disappointed. After paying a $40+ daily resort fee, I went to the beach today and found out there was an additional $30 fee for a beach umbrella. And itâs barely big bough to shade one person. That is just plain wrong.

comfortable rooms (a little small for the price) Friendly staff Great Beach OK pool: 2 small pools and hot tub) clean Exercise room decent; Starbucks attacked, Michillan rated restaurant Excellent location. Biggest problem is out of service elevator- out of only two. This has been a complaint on reviews for many months now. it should be a priority for the Hotel!. I aw someone taking his large suitcase down the stairs. Luckily, I moved from 11th floor to 5th because of the reviews. MAJOR PROBLEM- FIX IT ASAP! Otherwise the hotel is outstanding.

We have stayed here 3 times now and sadly this place has become increasingly disappointing and is going downhill with poor management and zero care for Marriott Bonvoy Elite members. After using this as our base in Miami for our past 3 trips I will be looking elsewhere in the future. The hotel is in a good location and has a great pool and the Japanese restaurant is great for dinner, but a few key things were really disappointing and would make me question staying here again. 1) Front desk staff are not very friendly nor accommodating. Zero genuine care or acknowledgement for Marriott Bonvoy status and they show general disinterest in being there. 2) There is zero consideration given towards elite status for Marriott Bonvoy. As a Platinum Elite member, I have never once been upgraded at this hotel when paying full price, I have had zero success with using suite night upgrades, never been able to check in before 3:30pm at the very earliest (vs 4pm regular time) and not been allowed a late check-out beyond 12 noon (when other Marriott properties allow 4pm). When check-in time is not until 4pm, I find it very difficult to understand how they donât allow a slightly later check-out for Elite status members. 3) The breakfast is at Loloâs Cantina and has limited options a la carte and our experience with staff service largely was poor. 4) Pool food is serviced by Loloâs and takes forever to arrive. 5) Our room was not serviced by housekeeping despite having no âprivacy requestedâ sign up. Upon returning to the room at 4pm and realizing this, we had to call and ask for housekeeping to come. Upon reading other reviews, it is clear this is a common issue. 6) One of two lifts has been out of operation under service for the past two stays (spread across two weeks), meaning lift service is extremely slow. Upon reading other reviews, it seems only one lifts is ever working. Would strongly recommend considering elsewhere to stay - especially if you are a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member. It is clear from reviews this place has zero care and is on the decline.
