FREDDIE IS THE BEST SERVER EVER!! He was so attentive and quick with our orders. He was also so friendly and made us feel important, even when my friend was feeling homesick. Freddie made sure our needs were met. He made the experience 10 out of 10!

Freddy was awesome! he cared so much about all of our needs and he was very fast. he brought me lots of drinks and food, and he always was coming around making sure my drink was full if I ever needed anything like ice or some water, he would also bring it for me.

The hotel is more for adults. Beach and pools are nice but loud. In the evening there is nothing to do except bars. No outdoor entertainment. However rooms are nice, food is good (but extremely expensive) and service overall good. 5 nights is too much for a family just my opinion.

I write this review as I am currently at the Fontainebleau. While the hotel has plenty of pools, nice beach and restaurants it is the furthest thing from its purported ā€œfive starā€ experience. Where do I begin? The line to check in was about 30 minutes. The only information about the property given to us at check in was how much more we can pay for a room with a better view. Once we declined to be upsold we weren’t given any more information - I.e. how to access wifi, property map, restaurants and amenities information but we figured that out on our own. We got a room with a sofa bed and the amount of registered guests reflected the use of the sofa bed however the room had no linens, pillows, blankets etc to make up the bed. It took several calls and lots of waiting to get linens for the bed resulting in us having to stay up much later than we wanted just to get a pillow to sleep on. We felt more optimistic going to the beach the next day until we couldn’t find our waiter to order some food and drink. Another waiter kept passing by asking if he came to us yet and instead of just helping us he kept saying soon. Soon never came (after over an hour) so we of course just got what we needed ourselves. The woman in front of me waited to order a drink and then was told they were out of her drink. She seemed less than pleased too and confused how a big hotel is out of an alcoholic mixed drink. We also have a car in the valet and that wait is insufferable. Also 30-40 minutes to get your car that you have the pleasure of paying them $75 to keep there. The valet said we can call down in the advance which sounded great but would actually require someone to answer the phone. What is most annoying is nothing here is cheap and everything -even purchasing a bottle of water at a counter- comes with an attached service charge of twenty percent. I can only assume this contributes to the issues as there is no incentive to provide good service when folks are getting paid a twenty percent tip regardless of what they do and the guests are captive audiences. So many employees at this ā€œfive starā€ hotel are just sitting and texting and have to be interrupted to actually interact with guests. Yes it’s a busy time, yes there is a conference here ( with tons of pissed attendees experience similar or worse service issues) however for what I am paying and for the services and level of service the hotel purports to have on their website none of this should be my problem. Don’t sell rooms at the prices you do and pretend to be five stars unless you can actually staff your facility properly and provide the service you purport you will.
