Hampton Inn & Suites MacClenny I 10

We had a quick one night stay on our drive down to South Florida. This Hampton either new, or all remodeled. It has the new decor and color schemes that Hampton is completing. We stayed in the suite and the room was spacious, clean and fresh. One of the nicer Hamptons that we have stayed at.

The only reason i have this 2 stars is because the staff was polite and friendly even though they didn’t respond back to our reply to the text they sent us. This was by far, without a doubt, the dirtiest room we’ve ever stayed in and we’re constantly traveling. We were appalled by the amount of hair that was caked in the room. I took photos! After a 16hr driving day, all we wanted to do was sleep. Yes, we brought our dog and paid $75 dollars on top of the hotel fee. Was the $75 to sleep in a kennel? That’s what it felt like with the amount of hair in the room. It clearly wasn’t a cleaning fee. They should have paid us to stay there. Our dog has Auburn hair and is a very minimal shredder even when the seasons change. There was long white hair caked all over the floor, hair on the couch, black hair on the towels, bathroom floor and top cover of the bed. You could see the nasty toilet ring when walking into the bathroom. There was toilet paper on the floor and chunks of what appeared to be a mix of human and dog hair all along the wall. The shower had black hairs in it. Honestly, it was nauseating. They sent a welcome text and i replied about our room bring disgusting. I even sent pics. No reply! We just ate and went to bed. We were exhausted. The next morning we both felt congested and my husband couldn’t stop sneezing. Honestly, it was worse than if we slept at a kennel. Our clothes were covered in white dog fur. Completely disgusting. I would never recommend this place. There’s probably an animal shelter around that’s cleaner.

Nice clean hotel. However, breakfast included was a joke. They were supposed to be serving until 10am. At 9am things were pretty much gone. Asked if they were refilling and was told no, not with a hour to go. Coffee tasted watered down as well. Had to pay for breakfast elsewhere😳

Very clean, friendly staff. Best price was calling hotel directly. We had the queen studio with sleeper sofa. Slept 6 comfortably. Grandson loved the chocolate waffles. The beds were a step above the last Hampton visited. Hotel is 4 years old.

Very nice stay.. Was a bit confused by the proximity of the location because we thought we would be in Jacksonville but we were actually about a half hour from Downtown. But!! was very easy to get to because of easy access to I /10 and it had a charming small town feel. Sara the front desk clerk was very welcoming and said hello every morning. Breakfast was served every morning and they had fresh coffee around the clock for guests to enjoy. The hotel was very modern and very clean. Lots of restaurants close by and even had a Cupcake Bakery downtown that was absolutely delicious
