TownePlace Suites by Marriott Leesburg

It’s about two years old. Andrew the manager is good and caring. Breakfast average. Suites nice size. There’s an old hotel smell to the place in corridors and the room. The ac units make a noise even when they are turned off which is annoying at night.

I stayed at this hotel because it was near the Leesburg UF Health Hospital and I had meetings there throughout the day. I only stayed one night and had a late checkout. Pros: -Microwave and fridge - Fire pits and seating (nice to work out by the fire with my computer in the evening) -Free breakfast (I didn't eat because I had meetings at that time but know they have it). - Decent beds - Outlet held my phone charger Cons: - Water pressure was very low. I have long curly hair and the water pressure felt like I was in a heavy rain. It wasn't very strong and was dribbling at times. The sink had 1/2 a normal stream (not enough to rinse off my toothbrush without rubbing it). I did not attempt to wash my hair because I knew the water wasn't enough to rinse anything out. Their shower heads are huge but the move to different streams. I switched it all around to different streams and even with the middle stream which is the strongest, it still wasn't enough to wash my hair. I checked the shower and sink 4 times at different times in the day and it was actually worse at midnight than at high use times. Being in for work, I can't go to meetings looking like a grease ball so if I had to stay for more than 2 days, I will probably go somewhere else.

We love the Mt. Dora/Tavares/Leesburg area of Florida. Would definitely stay at this Marriott property again! The beds were soooo comfortable. Our room was large, had a kitchen and had a very roomy, clean bathroom! When we checked in, the lady on the front desk suggested a nearby restaurant on a lake to celebrate a special occasion. She was correct -dinner was great. Breakfast this morning was delicious. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent hotel. The front desk staff were so friendly. I am a lap swimmer and wanted to get in early to the pool. I was so grateful for the 8:00 a.m. opening. Great little lap pool. The breakfast was excellent and the location was convenient visiting family at the hospital. The warm cookies were a huge bonus!

Being a Marriott Platinium member I stay in a lot of hotels. The water pressure from the shower head is terrible. It is nothing more than a trickle. Ask at front desk and person said they get complaints all the time. Just go out and get new shower heads. $25.00 per room if you have a hundred rooms. $2,500 expense. I will not stay here again because of this issue
