Just stayed here for the 3 day weekend, while attempting to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. I should have known immediately at check-in, that things weren't going to be that great. At check-in; on 4/17/25, there were two clerks, and a third guy, who I'm guessing was a mgr of some sort. One clerk started our check-in on one computer, only to ask us to move to a 2nd computer to continue check-in, and then back to the original computer, over the course of some 15 minutes.. we were told that their system was new, and "we" were all gonna have to figure it out... Ok, got our credit card info taken, gave us our room keys, somewhat told us how to find our room in the maze of a resort, and sent us on our way. Got to our room; room 116. Oceanfront King. You expect a view if your room is given this title, and if you're paying these kind of rates. It did technically have an oceanfront view.. but, only if you're standing while on your balcony. If you're sitting down, you're looking at the backside of a bunch of bushes/shrubs, and can not see any of the water, boats, etc. Also, the balconies are not private, from room to room. You can see everybody else, and vice versa. The next day, we found out that the shower door doesn't stay shut while showering, so water ends up all over the floor. Unpleasant, to say the least. Room has a small fridge, but, no microwave. King bed, 2 small chairs, a closet. Nothing special about the room. At all. The first night here, we went to the on-site bar. Was there for a while actually. Good drinks, and good bartender. But, as we left, one of the clerks from check-in stopped us, and requested that we immediately come back up to the lobby, because the "new system" hadn't taken our credit card info. After trying to have a good time at their bar, I was now inconvenienced and made to feel like we did something wrong somehow.. not a good 1st night. Should've been given SOMETHING for this inconvenience, a free drink, anything, but, no. The location here is what you're paying for. At the north end of Duval St. That, and their small beach. Thats all they have to offer that others may not have. The rooms aren't great. The view from our room wasn't great, unless you're standing the entire time. We laid out at the beach one afternoon. That was nice. Towels are provided. Lastly, at check-out on 4/20, the elderly clerk took forever to get us a printed receipt. So long so, that another person showed up behind us and waited, they left, and then came back, and asked us if we were STILL WAITING, to which we said yes. Please be aware that between the resort fee, and about 4 or 5 additional taxes, another approx $600 ($200 Ă 3 nights) was added to our bill, for a total of $3,300 for a 3 night stay. Now, to some, this won't make them blink an eye, but, for others, it might be a game changer. Would I stay here again? Only if I found a better rate somehow, because this is NOT a $1000/night type of place.. and, if I got a room up higher with an actual view no matter if I stood or sat on my balcony, and if somehow, I could know that their computer system and desk clerks worked better/faster. The photo is our view from room, WHILE STANDING UP. If you sat down, all you see is shrubbery, and your neighbors next door.

The Pier House was fantastic. Canât beat the location. Clean rooms, great drinks, beautiful beach and pool. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Be sure to check out The Chart Room where Jimmy Buffett got his start. Weâll be back for sure!!!

We checked in at The Pier House. Made reservations directly with Resort & Specifically stated in the reservations to please give us a decent view "NO Parking lot view". This was a higher end room- over $800 dollars a knight stating -"Ocean View". What did they give me- a lovely view of the parking lot. I'm a local & come to KW every 3 months over the past 30/yrs. We picked the Pier House for its luxury & views to celebrate. Needless to say this view is NOT worth over $800/a night. And room was run down with scuff marks on the walls, water marks on the ceiling, musky smell to the room & damaged furniture. Spoke to front desk (they were very nice but did not offer ANY COMPENSATION). Would had been helpful if the direct reservationist would had said- this room is limited with this request. Would have chosen differently. We were stuck with this room for our stay. I will stick to my local KW choices next time. They may not be fancy but the hospitality & attention to detail is better. Nice $2/k for 2 nights looking at the freaking parking lot & one dead sunburnt iguana on the roof. VERY Disappointed & I am in the HOTEL/RESORT business.

Over priced. Very average hotel however, friendly staff and great location. Rooms were cleaned daily however the floors were not swept as we had sand all over the floor from the beach from the day we arrived. Food at the beach bar was nice. Would say 3 star hotel equivalent

There was a random man sleeping inside of my hotel room when my partner and I returned from a night out late at night. Trashed our room then passed out! The hotel hasnât said anything or did anything to fix this issue. The ONLY THING they offered was to change the sheets. They gave us no explanation on how or why his keyed worked to access our room. The man even assaulted both my partner and I. The cops had to be called to get him to leave. I HIGHLY donât recommend this place at all! And the gym is joke and extremely pitiful. 2 treadmills but only 1 works. The other has a ripped up tread floor.
