Marina Del Mar Resort and Marina

We really tried but it was just not what we expected, with low expectations. The hot tub spa was neither a spa nor hot, it was broken. The room windows had no screens and the shades were thin, looking out, and in, from the balcony walkway just outside. And the balcony was a walkway, not private or useable. The bathroom floor was just, unsanitary and the bathroom itself was so small, we could barely use it. We hung clothes and gear to dry, and none of it dried at all. Air flow was full blast AC or heat. could not open a window comfortably, so…yeah. Just not good. Checked out and we t elsewhere bad

We stayed in the last block of accommodation and had a room close to the pub. The music was so loud and didn't finish until 10pm on a Tuesday night and then we had all the people at the pub talking loudly, not great when you're trying to sleep. The wifi also didn't work, I rang reception and they said it wasn't working and couldn't say when it was going to work. We arrived late and there was no car parks outside of our accommodation, so get there early if you want a car park close, otherwise you have to park away from the accommodation.

We loved this resort thoroughly enjoyed our stay however the pool is not heated easy walking distance to two restaurants beautiful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. There are things that could use updating. It is an older hotel. The staff was wonderful.

I used TripAdvisor to select Marina Del Mar to stay the night after visiting the Everglades and before checking into a resort in Marathon, an hour further down the Keys. Angie at the front desk was marvelous -- so friendly! Our room had two queen beds, a kitchen, a dining table, a fine bathroom, and a deck with chairs and a slider door overlooking the marina canal. It was not luxurious, but it was fine and clean and well prepared for our one-night stay. We are glad to discover this lodging in Key Largo. (Also, I left my watch and when I returned three days later, they gave it back to me!) Fine choice for you.
