Holiday Inn Key Largo an IHG Hotel

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Key Largo. We had a poolside room with 2 queen beds. The room was great, the shower area of the bathroom does need some updating, but it was clean and that is really all I care about. The staff were great! We weren't expecting it, but we received housekeeping service everyday, which was very nice. The pool area is amazing. We spent most of our days sitting by the pool playing cards and just relaxing. The only complaint I have about pool is that you were not allowed to bring in your own drink, you had to purchase at the Tiki bar. The hotel is in a great area and walking distance to several restaurants. The Marina area was fun to stroll along. One of the best parts was access to Pickleball courts! We brought our own paddles and balls, but the front desk does have ones you can use. It was nice to get up in the morning and play a couple games before it got too hot. This Holiday Inn is a choice great for the price!

Loving my stay so far! Erta was so wonderful and helpful! We rented kayaks and paddleboards to take out on the water. They were in great condition and the water was great! The rooms are wonderful and there is lots of wildlife to explore around the beachfront.

We only needed a day & night stay and Baker's Cay was booked. We stayed here with 'motel expectations'. It's an older motel but it has been upgraded. Our room was clean and modern though the bathroom appeared dated. As with most motels, there is noise coming from the parking lot and kids running outside the door. The cleaning staff did a great job. The lobby is large and the check-in was professional and efficient. We looked at the not-free breakfast buffet and it was just average. It's what we'd normally get for free at a Holiday Inn Express or Embassy Suites. Right across the highway is Doc's Diner which was VERY good. The motel's courtyard area is beautiful! It's well landscaped with palm trees and flower; it has two pools, a hot tub, and a pool bar. It's a very relaxing! The Del Mar marina is located next door and you can walk along it. We actually saw two small sharks and others told us they had seen a manatee. There are some good restaurants within walking distance such as Skippers Dockside and Sharkey's Grill. I'm generally not a fan of motels but this is one is nice, though expensive; $400+ per night. If I'm going to spend that kind of money in Key Largo, I would go with Baker's Cay Resort.

3/25 my wife and I came to the keys for a little getaway time. Very nice hotel. Our room service was spot on. The same lady cleaned our room daily and restocked us with supplies daily. She did an awesome job. We enjoyed the nice heated pools. We enjoyed the restaurants & coffee shops surrounding the hotel in walking distance. Our room had a patio/back porch with a view. The hotel staff were all nice and polite. Our only complaint was eating breakfast at the hotel. We tried it a couple of times but they only have one waiter that we saw. The hotel has outside eating area and we tried that but could not get waited on so we wound up walking to Sharky’s for breakfast every morning which is directly behind the hotel with a good view and friendly good service. We would order lunch at the pool bar and that worked out ok. We did not try eating supper at the hotel. This is a nice place to stay. In the mornings the shower water was very nice and hot. When we would take a shower around 8-9 pm the water was cool. I figured everyone had come back in from pool and outside activities and was taking showers. It was no big deal it just made the night time showers quick and refreshing. We would stay again.

We stayed here for two nights on a recent trip to the Keys. We also stayed here 8 years ago. Check in was a breeze and the desk staff was very nice. Once we got to the room, the toilet had leaked from the tank onto the floor. Maintenance said they couldn't find anything but to call if it happened again. Gladly it didn't. The location was great for our plans. The room was clean and tidy but could use an update. On our second night we came back to our room from our daily events and couldn't get into our room. I had to go to the front desk and they reactivated our keys. As a Gold IHG member I have never had small inconveniences like this before in the many years I participated in the program but realize that things can happen.
